    Removing push button auto controls.

I've used needle nosed pliers to remove the headlight switch and wiper switch bezels on later stuff, but there were tools the dealerships used to remove them. Does yours look like the one in the picture in post # 7 above? If it does, maybe some snap ring pliers would work in the holes to move it.

    How did I do

I forgot to mention. Put a proper sound insulation package in that car. Some (25%?) per panel self-stick butyl rubber vibration stopper on each panel, then full panel coverage of self-stick foam over that, then full panel coverage of self-stick heavy vinyl over that. You will understand why...

    How did I do

340RR, after my wife and I moved into our current house she found a shoe box full of pictures and asked me who the cars belonged to. I told her that I had owned all of them, some of them two or three times. At 72 years old, I've owned over 600 cars. Some I sold as runners, some as rollers, some...

[FOR SALE] OEM Used Mopar Big Block Throttle Cable

This is a OEM Used Mopar Big Block Throttle Cable. It came off of a 1964 Dodge with a 426w 4bbl engine. It is 20 3/4" long. I believe it will also work on the 66 to 70 big block engines with a 2 or 4 bbl carb. The outer coating has a small wear spot as you can see in the pics, but it...

Slow Crank, No Start When Warm

I should have responded about your battery when you first mentioned it. For a battery in the trunk install I still believe you need the proper size cables and battery. 1/0 will work, but for the difference in cost, I ran 2/0. Your cables getting hot is a clear indication they are too small.

    Tapper to roller cam conversion

I'm running a bronze gear in a stroked SBM, but it is race only. I had mine cryo'd which made it a bit harder, I have minimal wear at best and it's seen a "lot" of race time.

I'd drive the wheels off it.

    Member’s 1968 GT "personalization".

14X7 with 3 1/2” backspace and 15X8 1/2 with 5” backspace. The 14’s fit the discs thank goodness. But the backs will not work. But! I have a 68 Barracuda. They will work there for sure. I also have StuBBle. He has biiiiiiig hips. 15X7 with 4 1/2” backspace would be perfect back here.

Slow Crank, No Start When Warm

I did that test a bit ago where disable spark and try turning it over after the engine was heated up. No change, still very slow crank, took out the spark plugs and it turned over free and clear so that leads me to believe it's not an internal issue such as bearings

I think that comes under the heading, "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should". There as a heart surgeon down here in the south who stripped out his Viper and built a V10 Super Gas car.

    A few 2-Step questions

I like that idea too! I need to go out and look at the mechanism on my ratchet shifter and see if I can make it work with one of the unused microswitch spots. Lots of great ideas here!
