How strong is a T-5 transmission?

I've had a few T5 equipped fox body Mustangs and beat the living **** out of them all. The only weakness I found was the factory shifter. The last one I had was equipped with an aftermarket shifter, can't remember which one, but it was far superior. As for the 'world class', I believe they have...

Slant 6 timing help- Torqstorm and Sniper EFI

For anyone interested, the loud hiss of air at cruise was a bit excessive. I read somewhere of someone putting a unifoam sock on to quiet it down. Went looking and found Uni-Filter part # UP-6300 and ordered one. Once arrived, I cut a small hole in the top for the BOV hose to pass through and...

Driver inlet rad on slant 6

Ok, I got this figured out. I tried the magnum hose as recommended and it was a no go, because my alternator is on the passenger side so the hose would actually go through the belt which made it impossible to ensure it doesn't rub. I ended up getting Dayco hose E71317 AND used the stock hose...

I am way too high on the pass side (508 rubber insulators both sides). maybe I have the eng off sideways with the mtr mt slotted hole(s) in the kmember allowing alot of leeway for positioning side to side. thank you for...

    Magnum and Wiring Swap

I don't often buy from forums or online groups for that very reason. When I do take that risk I use Paypal goods and services and pay the extra fee. So far I have been lucky and haven't been burned trying to buy Mopar parts or parts for my 85 Supra. Yet. I was asking because I didn't use a...

1967 BH Slant6 w/ rebuilt 904 and Gear Vendor OD

I've decided to stop the rebuild of my 1967 Slant6 block (BH model with forged crank). Block and head will have to be machined. Crank has been machined 0.050 under by local speed shop. Original cam was reground based on Clifford recommendations, for use with their Weber 2-barrel and long-runner...

I will add that the 67 manual listed above does not have factory schematics etc. There was a supplement put out by Plymouth after the fact. I have a nice clean digital copy if you want to send me your email.

How strong is a T-5 transmission?

Well, I have one sitting all forlorn and feeling unloved, buried deep inside Parts Mountain. As always, good info so far guys, and thanks. If I go slant with this, I don't plan to thrash on it much - more of a fun street car. Even a healthy NA slant would be a nice match-up. Another question...

    roller rockers require roller cam?

You could also check out B3 racing engines. Owner specializes in Mopar rocker arms, and geometry fixes. He'll know which rocker works best for a mild sbm combo. A couple good video explanations on his website.

    Did dodge release a 71 challenger T/a 440?

Didn't Godfrey Qualls somehow end up with a T/A Hood and a shaker hood for his 1970 Hemi Challenger? You never know what can happen with Ma Mopar...even if you have to sue her. LOL

@4spdragtop is correct on this one. Grab EVERYTHING from the donor vehicle if at all possible. If it connects to the engine, take it with you. Hoses, wiring, kickdown, cables, etc. You'll probably want to get the radiator too. Luckily, the 67-69 Barracuda came from the factory with a 383, so...

    Magnum and Wiring Swap

When I did my 5.9 SMPI swap on my Dakota, I was concerned that I would have to retrofit a '94/'95 Dakota IP into my '91. The '91 uses a cable driven speedo while the later IP uses a stepper motor speedo (or something similar). The big issue was that the '94 van I got my PCM out of for my swap...

    roller rockers require roller cam?

Best way to learn, is to ask questions. Nope, roller rockers do not require a roller cam. And a mild roller cam doesn't even require roller rockers. But new roller rockers might require new correct length pushrods. Frankly, I'd ask Brian at IMM what rockers he would recommend. (Or Fred.)...
