Builders: Square engine, Over Square, or Under Square for you?

Take a 400 block and add a 3.75 stroke. It don't get much better than that. You can rev a 451 to the moon if you have the top end to handle it.

    360 vs 383

    Now your talking.

    360 vs 383

A 440 Charger would leave your 340 Dart in the dust just past the stripe and heading on the freeway . Not even close. A 440 A-Body with headers would leave you like your standing still. IDGOF what you think or the rag sheets say.

Works real well sealing big block intakes, just a thin bead is all that's needed. The small block guy's can have the right stuff. It's junk. imo

    360 vs 383

I bet it would seal real good. It would be wise to take the extra 15 minutes or so to get it right. You may be fast ,but you're not that fast.

Is 20W-50 too heavy for my 340?

I believe he's using VR1 20/50, my oil of choice, plenty of zinc. I've used Valvoline racing oil for many years, I'll never switch, it's never failed me. not one flat cam, zero failure.

Is 20W-50 too heavy for my 340?

Is 20W-50 too heavy for my 340?

What you do works and you can't give up too many tricks, only the one's everyone already know. Some you have to keep to yourself, except for food recipes. I'm hungry what's for Sunday dinner.
  19. fishmens67

    360 vs 383

It don't. but the engine I'd build would and you would soil your drawers. lol
  20. fishmens67

    360 vs 383

I think it's time for you to stick a big block in an A-body. I think you won't be disappointed, in fact I know you won't. 4.10 gear with headers will be enough to bring a big smile on your face.
  21. fishmens67

    I’m freekin bored.

    There's always Walmart.
  22. fishmens67

    360 vs 383

Stock? in your dreams. A fresh super tuned 340 Dart would be lucky to turn that, and that's IF everything was right. Ode to the mighty 340 hoping it doesn't come across an uncorked 383 GTS.
  23. fishmens67

    360 vs 383

I call bullshit. If you say so, how tall is the step ladder you use on pickup truck. lol 4, 6 foot? lol It's nice changing the oil filter on a big block without having to lay on your back, it's as easy as just reaching over. :D
