Can you image the fun if between 6pm and 10pm the Woodward circuit was limited to 1975 and older cars. BTW...what does it take to join your club? Likely worth the price of admission for just the Woodward event.

thanks, just trying to keep up. For the pressure side of the P/S line. I like hydraulic hose, keep an assortment of fittings and after mock-up, get them crimped. Extra points for neatness.

All fun and games until water gets in the carbs / engine. This particular car was built to be a quarter pounder, not a daily driver. Because you never know when you are forced to travel thru foul weather, I would advise Scott to plug the scoop when he is towing it on his open trailer. IMO, way...

......just another day on the glory trail for me. :) Pretty sure I kept it, after 5 moves in the last decade, I will have to do some searching. It would be a good find and a nice piece for my wall. That whole day was a blast. Drove up and down in the early afternoon and found a primo spot...

if you like driving it, you should attend the Woodward Dream Cruise (Detroit area). But only plan on the driving part Tuesday thru Thursday, it gets pretty crowded after that. Been there a few times, even got a "excessive noise / tire spinning citation" back in the 90's with the green Hemi...

understand....you kinda got a 2-fer. Always heard great things about the show and considered attending until I added up the miles, then reality hit, .....for me anyways.

At least you are smart enough to have tread on your rear tires. Slicks would have added another level of "fun" . Been there / done that.

The lightweight Fentons were the hot-set-up before the Cragar Super Tricks showed up in around 72. If you can find them, they are the same for just one as a whole set of US Mags. add Fenton stickers and most don't know the difference.

just curious..... that was a long way to go for a car show when you got the molly-cocker (Carlisle) almost in your backyard. did you need the practice?

Thanks for the reply and I wouldn't loose any sleep over it, A lot of us have PhD's by learning from our mistakes. I still consider this Mopar site a virtual garage where we hang out, bullshit and bench race. I could care less who is butt hurt as long as it ain't me....and that goes for...

yes...what volt reading do you have (separately)...when the ignition is in run and when cranking the ignition

not sure why you have the voltage regulator tied in??? Never have seen that or mention of in my instructions.

check the voltage while cranking on BOTH circuits.

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

not just a constant....but minimum of a full 12 volts. The voltage will drop to below 12 volts on the "run" circuit when cranking. That is why you cannot just hook to it. And the cranking circuit is only hot when you are cranking the ignition. That is why they need tied together.

I just put a 6al on my silver Duster and Butch's red Duster and have 2 tied to dual crank triggers on the Butch Leal / Direct Connection Hemi race car. I love them. besides the 2-step rev limiter, you could weld with the spark.

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

and how is that working? the problem is as previously explained. If you put a meter on the red trigger wire to the MSD box, I would bet that either a) it is only hot when cranking or b) it is NOT maintaining a minimum of 12 volts while cranking.
  27. HemiDenny

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

a constant 12 volts is required all the time to keep the MSD box "alive". There are separate leads that go to the coil and separate leads to the distributor and a separate 12 volt "trigger" is needed to tell the box to "turn on" and do its thing.
  28. HemiDenny

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

the problem is the MSD box needs at least 2 volts all the time and our Mopar OEM wiring cuts or often deduces the 12 volts except to the ignition side when cranking. So if you tie into the cranking circuit as soon as you let the key back when it barks...it dies. to prove this run a hot wire...

    68 Dart Project.

Not the worse problem to have by a longshot and I wouldn't loose any sleep over it, doesn't look like it eats too much. I'm finding the price to duplicate what we built a few years back has increased considerably. Build back better my ***.

I think our A body Hemi cars are similarly equipped.....except I have A/C and P/S. Both stick cars but I bet mine is slightly heavier and a bit more streetable......so to even things out, I'll leave my A/C off. Whooompa!!! BTW...the carpet looks great.
