Cost for labor on stroker build?

Sorry, I didn't know that this forum was only for the elite engine builder/ tuner. I didn't stray from what I originally said about the build. Also I didn't know that you guys don't believe in general conversation of any kind. I doubt that anyone here can produce a dyno read out or a parts list...

    Lifter failure

When they are functioning as designed, the lifter doesn’t really show any “pattern”, it’s just a smooth uniform finish. The lifters not rotating is only one way they can fail. But the lifters in the pics in posts 1,8,17 looked like they were still rotating, yet they still failed.

    Lifter failure

Figure that out……..and a viable, affordable solution…….. you could get rich. My feeling is that the lifters aren’t as consistently good as they once were. Powell Machine has several YouTube videos exploring the subject.

Ok so.. its 33 1/2 pass side ball joint zerk to trans crossmemebr Ans its 33 3/4 driver side So pass side which is the effed up side is kicked rearward 1/4”. I bet the pivot pulled away on the pass side LCA..which makes sense because for more + caster u need the lca more forward and the uca more...

    Lifter failure

Occasionally you get lucky. Normally if the lifter isn’t rotating, it’s basically guaranteed the cam will fail. But, I have seen lifters/lobes survive without rotation in two different engines. Not engines I put together, but engines that were here for some upgrades and it was discovered during...

So why did that fail? Made in USA. (Should be good right?) Metallurgy? Is the cam metal so different that it was like 80# sandpaper?

Still a lot to do but I’m sure better off physically and mentally this week to hopefully make this race

Well lots of obstacles this weekend but all in all this old man had a great time. Hopefully I have some good data because I think I’m rich and will probably lean...
