Beautiful day at Keystone Raceway Park.

Absolutely, and they still did their 15 minute track prep in between rounds and still got it done early. Typically on points days from what I’ve noticed, if there aren’t breakages that hold things up, and they start time runs on time, they can get things done relatively quickly.

    Another boat question

Yeah, daughter and hubby. They came down the next weekend. Took 'em out on Lake Delavan in WI. First time ever new the son in law got to drive a boat. LOL, might have given him the bug!

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Quick read on web, cheapest is water of course, then wiper wash fluid. I learned that beet juice weighs about 3 pounds more per gallon than water, wouldn't have thought that

Beautiful day at Keystone Raceway Park.

I actually said that to a few of my buddies. I left after buy backs but Derek made it to 5 cars left in no box. They stuck around till after no box finals were done and pulled out a little after 8. That's super early for keystone. I've been there till after midnight and they still weren't...

I don't know, not exactly sure what Kubota uses, may be natural or I guess could be synthetic. My tractor is kept in shop so probably hasn't ever froze, mild winters too temp wise

    340 exhaust manifold heat shield

Ok, if anyone wants to see what a $7 heat shield looks like, here it is. I bought three of them long ago and the boxes had shields for both sides. I'd be glad to give this one up to VANS and will contact them to see if they are interested in seeing/borrowing it.

Good Initial Timing and Too much Total Timing Problem. Seeking guidance to minimize total timing. 1969 Swinger 340 4 Gear

Around 51 is typical for a smallblock (LA) cruising at high speed. Its in the FSM and its on the 1980s and early DC/MP instructions. I've posted those in the How To section. B/RB typically a little more - again listed on the instructions from ma mopar. The OP has found that his combination is...

    SS roller rockers EQ heads

I have a NOS Magnum bare block with dealer stickers still on it. Someday I want to build it and, while years away, I routinely think about the direction the build should go. The cylinder head choice is something that internally debate. Edelbrock Magnum's or Edelbrock or TF LA? I think I'm going...

    Head question ?

The aggravating thing when I built mine was that even with a 30 thou shaved on the block my pistons are still .180 in the hole, and that 70 thou shaved on the head combined I'm right exactly at blueprint spec of 8.4:1 CR. I didn't measure the actual deck height of the block, don't know if this...

Searching for 12v switched power after ditching ballast and installing aftermarket electronic ignition

Don't know if you are beyond this yet? I had good luck using this Volt Meter to see charging voltage, when I did the 1 wire Alternator conversion on the '89 truck. Simple 12 volt wire hookup, the other spade on the back goes to ground. Works surprisingly well. ☆☆☆☆☆

    K-frame alignment?

I think that was where I went wrong, the engine wasn't bolted to the k-frame straight and it all went downhill from there. If I would've installed the k-frame and engine separately, that would've been more obvious. Just like this TB thing - I started chasing an out of line k-frame when all I...
