    I like it with the decal/vinyl like you did. I did the same thing to a GT in the 80's. I used paint . Candy Maroon over coarse aluminum. That is all we had back then. Bought the paint at a hobby shop. Vinyl would be much easier.

    Replace the power valve on the primaries. Probably shot from a backfire due to timing or a vacuum leak. Or it could have backfired from a lean condition with no choke when cold.

    No there should be one by the ash tray and one by the steering column on the pedal assembly. Usually clipped on if never replaced properly. I've seen many just hanging. This info only holds true if were talking 67-76 a-bodies

    I ran into this on a mini starter . I believe an after market. One of the mounting holes was larger and it called for a bushing that I didn't get with the starter.
