Thanks for everyone's feedback. Going to get some new gaskets and put it back together. The intake sits in there w/o any movement and the holes seem to line up nicely. The gaskets were wet in towards the middle from the jackets and the bolts didn't have any sealant. If it still leaks then I'll...

Well if this looks good then I guess it is back to the drawing board. There was water laying in the valleys so I thought I had found the issue. What should the bolts be torqued to on alum intake? Should washers be used? Thanks

I removed the intake today to see what I could see. First thing I found was that all bolts were only tightened to around 20#'s. The next thing I found was that the bolts had no sealant on them. I also found the holes reamed with a grinder on the intake. I have no idea why. These were 1966 273...

I was quoted 450 dollars for a recore due to cost of copper right now. Champion radiator price is about 175 shipped directly to my door.

Does your hood close ok? I thought that the Champion 1635 was taller than stock. I was told that a Champion 2375 was the better fit for a 66. The reason I ask is because I'm need a radiator for my 66 Dodge Dart. Thanks

A couple of more after replacing 13" stock wheels with 14" ralleys when I lived in Maine. Car was a Cali car that I bought while living in Maine and now I live in SD and the GT is back in Cali.
