I personally think slaghammer is a cool, unique car. Has a lot of yesteryear in it. One of a kind that's for sure. I have a weakness for the Dodge Demons. Had one when I was 16. DDG has a beautiful car.

This is aside from the race, but UTG has said more than once it's a business and his lively hood. He cannot put 25k into a channel car or he'd go upside down. He has to do things cost effective, meaning the videos pay more than he is putting into the projects, plus pay rent for the shop...

well, I seriously doubt either of the two are interested in "going rounds" bracket racing. I think DDG was on a "tour" and heading to a mopar show anyways if I understand correctly. Stopping by to race UTG was just for grins and giggles. I doubt there was pride or money on the line.. maybe...

it was good enough to win the race/challenge. Don't just pick on Tony.... a hopped up 360 like that in a A-body running 9's isn't so story telling would ya say ?? Neither car overachieved but the fun was in the race (or supposed to be), not the times they turned.

Slaghammer - girggled for about 200 ft and ran a 8.60 in the race. DDG - Ran a best of 9.04 during his 2 trial passes before breaking on the official race run

You can hear slaghammer was struggling to move the first 300 ft. It wouldn't have taken much to take him on that run. IF DDG would have rode the clutch just a little and kept the RPM's up, he'd have probably won even though his first two passes were in the 9's.

It's a race between two A-bodies. 383 BB auto vs 360 SB 4 speed. This is a A-body site and racers forum. It's amazing how many of those not interested are always interested enough to leave a comment to tell us they aren't interested as if anyone is interested in their disinterest. :D...

I've not installed TTI's (headers) on a A-body, but Doug's have been the best fitting header I've installed on a Duster. :)

Hands down the best fitting headers I've ever installed took 40 seconds to hang both sides. OOOoops, you wanted A-body and that was a B-body. Sorry

I think he said they all have blocks to fill the bill..... he didn't say factory stroke crank and block :)

360 with a 4" crank (stroker) is a square engine. 4 " x 4"

Best test shown on a factory '74 Duster 360 4bbl back then I seen was 14.6's in the 1/4 mile. Not too shabby for a '74.

They went to "net" rating in '72. '71 318 2bbl had 230 hp gross. '72 318 2bbl had 150 net. That's huge.

Thank you. It's just as of now (and I have no idea how long) just about all our time has been diverted due to unfortunate circumstances. It will work itself out eventually.

We have had a sudden circumstance that was out of our control pop up and I'm afraid it looks as if cars will take a back seat for a minute or three.
