And not currently available. Layson's has had them but looks to be out of stock, too. Mine aren't perfect, but I guess they're good enough.

    67 DART SPEAKER REPLACEMENT

Here's a few pictures that might help. Unrestored speaker bracket. Note the insulating foam. That side goes against the dash to prevent speaker rattles. Not my picture, but I had it saved. This is my bracket after stripping, painting, and adding new insulating foam. The foam is just home...

    The Mack truck

Brockway has a devoted but small following. I know they have, or at least had pre-covid, an annual convention every summer in Cortland. Mack had bought out Brockway several years before they shut them down. So there was probably a great deal of consolidation of design resources. I'm pretty...

    The Mack truck

I grew up near the plant where Brockway trucks were manufactured. Fifty years ago, they were all over upstate New York. Most local municipalities used them. There's a farm near where I live now that has at least thirty. Most are worked regularly, but some are restored for show. I had a...

Did the 1979 Lil Red Express come with an air pump?

In 1978 they were able to get away without catalytic converters due to the gross vehicle weight rating put it in the category of a work truck. The exemption for the weight rating was adjusted upwards for '79, so they had cats that year. I don't know about air pumps, but less likely on a '79...

    The Mack truck

On Adam-12 today. I'll watch it sometimes just for the old cars that were new then, like the Belvedere. That Mack wasn't new when the episode was filmed circa 1969.

    ride height question

I think it looks really good. If you want it lower, you could cut the sway bar links to get more clearance. And like SIX225 said above, when using rubber control arm bushings only torque control arm bolts after setting final ride height.

    Quiet muffler

Tom builds his own mufflers which are faithful reproductions of those used on the short-lived Pontiac Vacuum Operated Exhaust option. I'd never heard of that before seeing Tom's posts. Very cool stuff. Here's one of Tom's posts. There are a couple more. Eighteen Year Old VOE Mufflers

    [WANTED] Stabilizer bar bracket

I looked, but I can't find it. I have the bar, which used to have both brackets on it. I used one, but it was so long ago I don't remember which. I'll keep looking, but I'm not optimistic it'll turn up soon.

    Mopar Action magazine

I asked one of the principals at Mopar Action if they were working on a comeback in digital or print. This was his reply: "MA is 100% dead. It was doing just fine but the parent corporation got involved with sports illustrated, which took down the whole house of cards." Mopar Action was...

    [WANTED] Stabilizer bar bracket

Correct. The brackets and bushings weren't serviced separately. If you needed to replace the bushings, you had to order the entire anti-sway bar. :realcrazy: Polyurethane replacement bushings are available. I haven't seen rubber, but they could be out there. I burned the rubber ones out...

    67 DART SPEAKER REPLACEMENT

If it's still original, the speaker is screwed to a bracket. The bracket is held up on each end by a square shanked carriage bolt that points downward, and whose head is hidden under the defogger outlet vents. As said in post 2, reach up and remove the nuts however you can, and the speaker and...

    360 vs 383

Not all Hemis got Danas. Lots of automatics got 8.75s which were standard on many Hemi cars unless optioned up.

    360 vs 383

I've heard that was the reason. Unleaded fuel would require lower compression, and the extra cubes would help offset it. The timing roughly coincides with the other changes made to accommodate unleaded, ie. hardened valve seats.

    360 vs 383

My '69 383 Super Bee was a lightweight bench seat coupe with a 4-speed and 3:91 gears. The only options were sure grip, power steering with a cooler, and a radio. It ran pretty good, but when I put on headers, Crane Cam, lifters and springs, Edelbrock Torquer and a 750 double pumper I dipped...

Looking for previous owner of this 1968 Barracuda Convertible

    Wilwood front kits 69 Barracuda

What is your goal? Why do you want to replace the (I'm assuming) factory Kelsey-Hayes calipers? If it is for weight reduction, maybe take a look at SSBC's aluminum calipers. They are supposedly direct replacements for the cast iron K-H calipers. I don't like that company, or its predecessor...

    Wilwood front kits 69 Barracuda

If you want to keep your wheels, you need to be concerned with more than the bolt pattern. The size of the Wilwood hub is larger than will fit the center register on factory 5x4" wheels and probably 5x4.5" wheels. If you already have aftermarket wheels, then maybe they'll fit.
