360 stalls on deceleration from throttle blip

Here is a short video on mine on what it was doing. You could just tap the throttle and it would die. You can see at the end how hard it was to start back I ended up just rolling it back in the driveway. Tuning the carb and timing fixed it

360 stalls on deceleration from throttle blip

Mine did the exact same after I first started on it. It would run strong but if you hammered it and let off it would die every time and usually be really really hard to start back. It was flooding. I worked on my timing and carburetor. Mine wanted alot more timing. With the carb I took it down...

    1965 Offenhauser 273!

I run the same air cleaner on the slant six in my 63 Valiant. Offy intake, Edelbrock carb. It didn't quite clear the hood with the stock filter, so I used a shorter one with the same diameter (don't remember the part number). With the shorter filter inside the 273 air cleaner assembly, it...

    Spark Plug Advice Needed

More throttle opening means denser air fuel charge and therefore faster burn. So less timing is needed to take advantage of the combustion.

    Lifter failure

New FT lifters are a 'crap shoot' as my American friends say. If you are not into crap shooting, get some 30 yr old lifters re-faced. The Crower Cam saver lifters with a groove down the side. I have been doing the same for 30 yrs with a Dremel. No need to pay extra for it, you can do it with...

[WANTED] Big Block A-body Exhaust Manifolds

    Spark Plug Advice Needed

...adjust the carb last. This is how you do it. Disconnect & plug the VA. Engine idling, in gear if auto, starting with the dist giving about 10-12* at idle. Turn the dist slowly to advance timing until you have the highest idle speed. Now check the timing. My guess is it will be in the 20-35*...

360 stalls on deceleration from throttle blip

...+ or - 30. Thank you for taking the time to write all that info. When you mentioned the vacuum advance can only has a limited amount of advance say *14 a light went on in my head and it made sense. I’m learning a lot. Thanks for your patience. It sounds like some guys run off the manifold...

    Lost Ignition #2

jumping #1 and 2 together is key on running the MSD off the switch. You could also run the “on” thin red from the MSD to a switch under the dash for a “kill” switch theft deterrent ran from a power source.

    Lost Ignition #2

No in fact you must jumper IGN1 (run) and IGN2 (bypass) together in order to get ignition power to start the thing, because now you have an ignition system not using a ballast. What was the closest point to the key switch you checked? If you don't have it at the bulkhead, and don't...

    PCV Plumbing with Torqstorm supercharger

In theory yes but in practice, nope. They are un reliable, not well engineered, and not designed to operate with any positive pressure on that side of the valve. I’ve tried. And I always end up getting rid of them. And I’m a pcv valve fan, every NA engine should have one, but I have yet to find...

    Crane Gold rocker adjuster

I broke a few right away. My push rods were measured and custom made. Geometry was right. So I conversation with Crane. Guy asks were they Black or Gray? Oh damm we normally make them our selves, and ours are gray. We outsourced and those were all bad. Told me don't use any more black of the...

HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO REPLACE MY 67 BARRACUDA DOOR HANDLES

Are you sure you linked the correct story? Most all that was about the doors and hinges. I did find a good video on YouTube though. I'll probably tackle the non-driver door handle first.
