Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

You can cut the column tube back to help some with that but that means you're going to be taking the column out and apart. Is it too late to back out and go back to manifolds? LOL. That reminds me at one time I had a 67 Dart GT 273 with headers on it, and it seems like they were big tubes. I...

    Non A-body mopar question

In my opinion, this ^^^^ is the correct answer to your question. For a driver you can enjoy. Now, if you're planning a swap to a high-suds 340/408/440/500 a swap is certainly in order. There are many upgrades possible/available. 8 1/4, 8 3/4, 8.8, 9 1/4,Dana 60. Other than the 8.8, and the 9...

    Valve adjustment.......

I set mine at ambient temp of ~70*F. That way I can take all day, it don't matter if I a take lunch break in between. The magic numbers for me have always been .013 and .023 Too tight on the exhaust usually makes mine run funny. Like herky-jerky, but, Mine is 9.5Scr with a bit of a cam, lol.

Maybe back once in a while

Welcome back. I have pretty thick skin and can both catch and pitch pretty good. But I still give myself breaks away from here when needed. I also have learned to cut back on some of the things I show on pictures or give info on. Sometimes it doesn’t pay to play nice guy.

    The Verdit Is In!!!!!!!!

Super solid, my mother slammed my left hand in the right rear door of that car when I was 4. lol. It’s was light creamy yellow colour, the car not my hand… If you don’t find what you’re looking for parts wise just change your view and maybe look over your right shoulder instead of the left…..

    Steel Louvers

Going down the road so far they havent flapped around, I still have to go down a freeway to see. This is actually the reason why I went with steel instead of aluminum because I was thinking it would be more rigid.

    Non A-body mopar question

In my 55 years of street driving, I've had quite a few cars with 7.25s/and autos and have never even hurt one of them. One of them even had a high-pressure, 340-2bbl with headers. Now transmissions, those I have blown up.

Just waiting on wheel cylinders, brake hoses, an oil filter and some other small parts to arrive (should be today). Because it was fine behind a 318, most people that bought a 318 car were using them as family trucksters.. if i was just making a car to drive and not beat on i would change the oil in it and use it. it probably made it 100k already without breaking..
