So many racing friends lost over the years

That's thoughtful to keep a list of those who've past, I'm sorry for your loss'. I'm sure some of those had a internet name can you correlate any?

Without reading all this thread, I feel you can drop the mic right here and be done/right.

    How much dyno corrected HP?

Thanks, this is ANOTHER reply I appreciate in noting there are many qualifiers. Would the motor make any more power with Holley carbs on a dyno? Separately, would the car be quicker with Holley's? Would the car be faster with a working hoodscoop and airpan? How good is the converter? Are the...

    How much dyno corrected HP?

Thank you, I'd say I did think a lot on it. Whether it was good/bad is prob relative. I was happy with the results. It's a '73 400 block half-fill billet caps and bushed lifter bores, pushrod oiling, 275@ 050 roller .730 NET. Initially, hand-ported Indy SR at compuflow then redone by me. about...

    How much dyno corrected HP?

That is true, I just assumed it was implied STD conditions, which is why I said stellar air. This was the standard CF for the 20 years I dynoed. I can take the thread down if it doesn't work for you?

    How much dyno corrected HP?

That's a good point and was considered. He's got the big Wilwoods on the front and I think disc on the rear. It's my old motor I REworked for someone. Using a modman, AFB's, wet sump, bumped compression to 12:1

    How much dyno corrected HP?

It was never on any dyno. I figure so far it's using about 775-780 crank corrected engine dyno. Wallace showed it correcting around there correcting for weather on other runs at 3540lbs. I was interested in knowing the masses general ideas. I'd like to see it touch the 9.5s in stellar air at...

    How much dyno corrected HP?

OK not all are reading this correctly but the car at the line weighed 3715. Was adjusted to run 10.0 with weight in about 9% corrected conditions. I was asking what was the corrected HP to gage ET potential. The chart corrects the ET to as low as 9.61 at that weight. There are some other gains...

    Is this rear-wheel? 3715# at 9%

    Who would have ever thought

Data/information has definitely helped performance evolve. Sometimes it's fun to think how much faster my first deal would have been if I could apply what I am now to what I had. ANOTHER aspect that's helped performance evolve is the SHARING of what works. That's something I never seemed to be...

    How much dyno corrected HP?

The WEIGHT wasn't updating correctly but from runs 2 and after it weighed 3715#. How much engine HP is my question? Thanks for your opinions.

Building a new 505 With Callies / Mopar Performance Block

I have the Milodon billet remote filter pump cover and a new old stock 63HV pump that have literally 5 mins run time. I'd sell if you're interested. I also have a HD dist drive with bronze gear which is new. I may have other stuff as well if it helps.

This is all good stuff. Forgive that I don't keep tabs on the combo but offer suggestions. In my mind, the parts combo I thought you had were doing well making 575 with the small cam. In retrospect a high compression, ported aftermarket head 4xx" with a cam better than a flat tappet should make...

    73 Duster build named Fred

OK I didn't realize that. Yes, if he's gotta get his tuned-up, he should aim higher in stall. I'm not sure that'll get him into the 9's but I'd guess the weight being just over 2800? so if there's 575HP somewhere it can get there. If over 2900 then he might need more parts.

...in itself. Changing cams and their respective hardware is pricy in a few ways because the cam profile it'll like is probably going to 'tax' the rockers and pushrods....etc This is a 59* small block. I just mention it all for review to benefit what is practical for the owner given a new...

    Brakes for my drag car.

I was quoting a ?funny/famous? scene from the movie Joe Dirt. I maybe should have more fully typed; It's like the positraction on a Plymouth...it just works.

Nice work! Looking at the one video, the initial hit is still a touch soft. Try some accl pump cams and shooter tuning and you're there! After that, I'd almost leave things alone and hit it with some spray if you want to have more fun. It's proving to be a good combination

This pic has caused much controversy in debating where to use the prop valve but, it works for me (like a positraction diff)

    Brakes for my drag car.

Run as much hard line as possible! Here is a pic showing how I ran a Tee to cross-over to the pass side. Then flex to the calipers from tabs on the frame. Make sure you avoid any binding or entangling over all movements when routing 'flex' lines.
