I will say that I appreciate the folks that try all the fancy stuff that circle back to make recommendations or painful rants! Once in awhile something comes along that helps keep my driver class car driving w/ less effort, time, expense, or frequency of failure.
1967 Barracuda 383 Formula-S Convertible 4-Speed
Body Exterior – The car is triple blue with EE1 Dark Blue Metallic. The car is stored in a climate-controlled garage and the paint still shows wonderfully. The Blue factory correct convertible top and boot was recently replaced and retains the...
Thank you for your reply. The problems that I had was brand new replacement parts, multiple headlight switches and turn signal switches being bad. Now that I finally have ones that work I have all of my lights except for brake and hazard lights. I have replaced the brake light switch but still...
What makes a Classic car "CLASSIC"?
In 1965 Plymouth made 22,000 Barracudas, many with slant sixes.
In 1968 Chevy made 208,000 327 powered Cameros, many 6's too.
In 1978 only 2,500 LRT's
In 1979 only 3,500 LRT's. So 6,000 for both years
??????????
.
Rumors were rampant but 90% were wrong.
With only 2500 1978 LRT's made for the whole world if you have one keep it.
With around 3500 1979 LRT's made it is almost guaranteed a 1978 is more desirable.
Now a short story.
In 1990 when I was stationed at Ft Lewis WA my Company Commander had a 1979...
My Harley uses a nylon chain tensioner, replacement cycle is 25-30000 miles. Too many evolution engines have had failures with tensioners.
I don’t run them on my small block LA or big block RB motors. I really don’t think they hurt or help, but my opinion is why put another wear component...
64 Valiant has the round lever under the front lip of the hood. 64 and 65 Barracuda have a paddle type lever that goes through a hole in the front edge of the hood, as does the 65 Valiant.
I've also had good luck out of the Edelbrock timing sets. I've had one in the 360 in my Challenger forever, and when I put a new fuel pump on it a year or so ago, the chain is still tight.
i would like to weigh in on this. i have a completely original 74 duster 360 and my tag has the N41 code and my car still wears the original A Body tips it came new with. i have seen other sites that say the code just means Dual exhaust
$20 from those who have it would change his situation.
On a side note i appreciate all who are refraining from making comments on our healthcare system. I have a few opinions too but let's just give the man $20 and that would be great.
Many thanks
