Am I crazy or is this project Duster way overpriced?

That’s the “I have MoPar Gold” sickness. The car has been given generous offers that I’d never give. The man is insane for his asking price and if he is stubborn enough, it’ll rust away into the ground.

Is my ring gap too large?

Better off with a wider ring gap, even if it seems ridiculous, than a tighter one.

Trying out a spreadbore carb on the Duster.

What your misunderstanding is that square bore carbs are not always exactly square between the front and rear. Typically, they are like the Holley is. 1.75 on all 4 barrels for example. The square bore is monkier is still applied when it’s like what you have shown. The spreadbore is a large...

Quite Quite out the exhaust pipe. Did I say Quite

If you want Cadillac quite, get a Caddy muffler. Best after market option is the DynoMax Quiteflow. Use the longest muffler possible as the longer it is, the more sound deadening it will have.

Carburetor CFM 360 5.9 Magnum Recommendation.

I also have a ‘00, 5.9 w/a EPM intake and use Hooker 1-3/4 super comp headers in my late B body. 2500 stall in a 727/3.55 gear. The 5.9 is a stock long block like yours. The RPM intake has a Edelbrock 740 AFB that works great. I like it over the 600 AFB. The larger throttle bores offer a better...

    Stroker 340>416 Build Advice

Like his cam a lot. It seems to read 106*-LSA. By the Gizard numbers, it should be 105.xx. The single degree will never be seen/noticed. That cam will hand out maximum torque for its LSA. The 78* of overlap is in the street strip category. Once the engine is off of idle, it’ll operate just fine...

If only this type of kit were available for SBM at the same price......

It is a shame because there raping you on the cost for the intake basically.

    Stroker 340>416 Build Advice

Ok, you screwed yourself and will stay there until you rework your exhaust. Throwing away an easy 40+ ft. lbs. of torque is on you. Totally ridiculous to ask for help and throw it away. If you actually feel like your 416 has a lack of torque, revisit the reply above. Also add in, headers to...

    Stroker 340>416 Build Advice

The narrow centerline helps low speed torque. A dyno would be required to maximize torque down low. After the header pipes come to the collector point, maintain the collector diameter for as long as the dyno reading shows a higher low rpm torque output. Ideally speaking, after this length is...

Who's running the same size tires front and rear

I know a guy that did the tiny wheel thing on his truck. No one at work understood. So we asked him why? His answer? “Did it for the pure fun of super easy burnouts for long distances.” Gotta love this guy!
