LOL. Thank you for the info and the link. I think that scamp would look killer with that grill. Yours is the purple/ white top? Very clean.

'70 Dart 392 Project; what direction?

Ouch. That Holley FEAD does move everything forward, didn’t think it would be that big of an issue though. Might have to look at a dual fan setup. Glad to see you still making progress either way.

Small block headers: worst to best fitting. List your experience.

They fit fine, but the mother fuckers hung down so low-they were smashed up within the first couple weeks. And I had as tall of 15" tires that would fit and had the front end cranked up a respectable amount.

    318LA build

I liked Dan’s cam suggestion. Not to darn shabby Dan. A wide LSA for a smooth idle on a more aggressive lobe while not being far off from a friendly driver with mileage. Its duration is a step above standards command lots of lift for how well OEM ports flow. It stays under .500 for an easy...

1974 Plymouth duster 360 fender tag decode.

I could be wrong about this, but seems like I have heard that not everything got onto the fender tag every time. Makes sense than N41 would since it was part of the 360 package, but maybe not the N42 tips if it was an option? Mine doesn’t have tips, so I’m not help beyond the N41 dual exhaust.

Slant 6 timing help- Torqstorm and Sniper EFI

I should mention since you asked, the self learning capabilities of the sniper are limited to only fuel. The base timing tables that come loaded with the sniper are rather crude and need to be tailored to a specific combination, especially in your case because of positive manifold pressure.

Did the 1979 Lil Red Express come with an air pump?

Interesting. This is much more complicated than the LRE emissions stickers I've seen. It's looking more and more like the LREs didn't come with a smog pump. Never thought about it that way but it makes total sense.

    BBP Front Hubs?

i think factory center register BBP is 2.8? only a concern if he wants to run factory rims, i guess. most aftermarket stuff is well wider. ETA: just for edification, 2.80~2.85 is what i got

You’re welcome. Glad you’re getting it figured out. Make 100% sure you cleared the locked timing feature in the wizard before doing anything, then watch here.

Slant 6 timing help- Torqstorm and Sniper EFI

Thanks much for the guidance today. I'm 99% sure I got the timing lock removed. Before it stayed at exactly 15 all the time, but afterwards at idle it'd bounce up and down in range of 14-16ish. Regarding "base tune in tables" - is that what is established by driving it and letting the Sniper...

Time to start the build up

Machinists are human. We make mistakes. If you want to assemble engines you better damn well know how to correctly measure things to verify it is what it should be. For example, let’s say I have a crank and I want .0023 clearance. But I check it myself and I get .0039! Do you let it go even...
