A,friends dad (Damn good professional wrench, 100 percent Blue Oval..) procured a wrecked '88 T Bird 2.3 turbo.
He stuffed the T5 ,2.3 Turbo ,and the 88 T Bird 8.8 rear end in a 71 Pinto .
Geez ,that machine CRANKED ,with the boost up.
Used to give these away ,by the box full in the 80's...
Haven't seen one for years ,saw a rubber ball version , had to have it.,

Del: Too much "resonance " with the turbo muffler setup ( no x ,nor crossover ). The x pipe does seem to quiet it down ,around city limits. ( on friends cars) Exhaust is all personal tastes.
T/A setup is nice , hopefully you get Blackie running .
Been a while..
Took delivery of the converter, ordered all new ARP bolts flex plate and converter .
Ordered Jones exhaust Magnaflow muffler and a smaller , cleaner X pipe kit.
Started this week on exhaust, waiting on 45 degree mandrel bends and collectors.
Next a Kevco pan and pickup.
VHT high temp aerosol. Strip the black paint off , heat the tubes & spray.
Run the headers 3 or 4 minutes, shut engine off 2 or 3 times.
Let headers cool in between cycles...
