Suggestion...keep it small block for now. The engine looks era correct for 67(cast-iron water pump). Got a pic of rockers? They should be adjustable. Judging by looks of engine, maybe look for a new one? Double and triple chk ALL wiring. It's pushing 60 years old and could have been hacked...

Chk valve covers at rear of heads for leaks. They're a pain in the *** to stop.

Shims/washers on either side of clip. You'll be $50 Cdn with shipping and exchange from Brewers. Home Depot for under $10.

I would drop by shop and say "I'm going to help and disassemble it for inspection ". For the purpose of getting your hands back on it. At this point I would be worried about it going awol. As all have said, you aren't whining.

The tag may not match, but it's a 68 340 cuda. It's an S 100%. All 340 68 cudas were formula S. You can tell by the vin which matches engine and trans! :thumbsup: I would leave it up for sale if u want. It'll move.

100% agree. I was just pointing out to Dana why "I THINK" noone was offering an original up for 3d printing. @65Val had a great idea about using a gasket. I would love to see a pic of your ebrake handle when u can?
