1967 BH Slant6 w/ rebuilt 904 and Gear Vendor OD

I didn't think they started the BH series yet til '68/69ish? Small or big crank pocket? In 50-sone years it's hard to say what someone else has cobbled together?

    Old magnum MP cam info

...Mainly I'm questioning the angle it was ground on, I believe that towards the end of that cam being "an item" it was listed as being ground on a 119*. I thought I saw somewhere that it was really supposed to say 109*. Anyone have anything on it? And what application it would be "good for"...

    Stroke a 318

I'm thinking it'll be slightly under square, I'm thinking of doing one up for a 3/4 ton 80s truck. Tow pig.

Where can I buy a reliable remanufactured 318 for 1971 Duster?

Red x time. He didn't say anything about a 360. Id find somebody to pull your original and have it gone thru... Unless it has a windowed block or something

    Steve Magnante’s Old Valiant

Don't know. Hard to keep track. But somehow I tied him to that car when I saw the thread. I did recently read the story about his older /6 valiant that went overseas. And I know that it wasn't all that recently that he had sold that one, it had been a little while ago

    Steve Magnante’s Old Valiant

    Valve adjustment.......

I've honestly never had anything with a radical cam so I can't compare. I've always dealt with stock ot at "worst" an RV level cam in a /6 "just going by what I know/have experienced"for myself

318 head porting for the average joe

I have a set of 302 heads here on the shelf fresh from the machine shop (ok 3 years ago but still not mounted on an engine) and yes I plan to pull them apart this summer and clean them up, mostly just casting flaws and yes I'm gonna RUN THEM... On a 318, even. Tough. Not going speed master, not...

    Valve adjustment.......

People make so much about adjusting them as the old Chilton manuals said to do it(I believe this was the factory specified way too) like their afraid of them. Just fire it up, crank the idle as low as it'll go and still run, and go at it. I've done many of them like that over the years. I...

    Steve Magnante’s Old Valiant

I thought the green brick valiant was his when they did the buildup of it in the magazine. I do remember the older one when had with the /6 that went overseas too, though.

    Non A-body mopar question

Well I wouldn't want one. I've had f bodies (Aspen/volare) with that rear and my first Dakota with a non magnum 3.9 had one and I blew it to smithereens not even being hard on it. I replaced it with an 8-1/4. If the car is otherwise nice, and the price isn't crazy id buy it even if it had a...

    Fuel gauge reading incorrectly

Yup. All new aftermarket fuel sending units are made by the same outfit and reboxed and sold by many. I'm surprised Napa had it from any source. My son has bought at least 3-4 of them, one 80 Dodge d100, 87 ramcharger and 2 c body ones, one for each of the 72 fury wagons he's had. He finally got...

HEI Conversion Question and Holley 2280 Lingering Issue

The first red flag I see is why the HEI? Did it originally have lean burn? 2nd red flag was when you were talking about the overcharging and the added relay. I've never had to add a relay to make the charging system behave. I have an 85 version of your truck, biggest difference is mine has a /6...

    A999 transmission slipping. Second time.

The last trans swap I did was a 46re into a Durango. I went thru 5 cans of "Kooler kleen" plus disconnected the lines and blew some right into the lines the cooler in the radiator and the one in front of the radiator and the replacement lasted 3 months. I have another one going in and this time...

Whats in your backyard? Part 1

My backyard is way too small. Barely room for the clothesline and the fish for the TV. I have a ~10x10 concrete pad just off the family room sliding glass door, I park either my utility trailer for my mowers or my camper on it, either hangs over on the grass front and back... My house is long...

    42RH advice needed

What is called the "forward" clutch isn't the front most one as mounted in the trans, that would be the high,/reverse. The "forward" clutch which is engaged in all forward driving gears is actually the rearward mounted one in position within the case. There are 2 clutch packs in that overdrive...

    Nv3500 vs ax15

I had 3.07s in a wrangler with the AX15 and 5th was all but useless under 55 with a stick 4.0 inline 6 and 235 15 tires even more so with the 31/10.50s I had on it for a while. I wouldn't worry about an OD trans with gears (numerically) lower than 3.21/3.23.
