Alternative fuel pump to Carter Street Super?

Holley Keith Dorton 110 Mechanical pump used to have decent regulation. If they haven't changed it, that will work. Or a factory replacement. Primary factor on fuel flow at high rpm is horsepower. Mechanical pump's ability to supply will increase somewhat with rpm - which is a good thing...

I'm not going to wail on it that hard I loosened the k-frame and tried tilting it from side to side and front to back. It didn't seem to help.

440 power gains/ aluminum head advantages?

yes also correct springs for cam lift/duration. this is maybe something to help too. when i lock the distributor no vac advance, no mechanical. the timing still bounces around a few degrees on idle and when revving. gets more intense as i rev. would this be an indicator of a lot of slack in the...

[WANTED] 1963 Valiant differential rebuild kit and ring and pinion gears

That was a mistake that has now been corrected. The 7 1/4 with a 2.93 ratio was not offered until 1962. There was a early and late 3.55 Ratio in 1961. Early version had 5/16 holes in the ring gear and late had 3/8 holes.

440 power gains/ aluminum head advantages?

i agree there's gonna be something way off that i'll notice at some point. i messed with 2 750vs i had that were good on other cars and there was no real change. compression is good and even all the way around. no vac leaks, good oil pressure, good a/f ratio. getting a little blow by from the...

440 power gains/ aluminum head advantages?

yes double pumper. and a/f gets a little lean at wot but not anything crazy. it's around in the like 13s. having slack in the new timing chain i put on makes me suspect. any recommendations on a good timing set to buy that should install with minimal slack? would a gear drive be more precise...

That's very true. With chassis dynos as well. Did they include which corrections and such they used? That can have a huge impact as well. The only hands on dyno experience I have is decades old back in school when our auto shop class was able to use the dyno at Mercer University in Macon. After...

Bolt in exhaust kit for Doug's Headers?

Does anyone make a bolt in full length exhaust for my Demon that fits Doug's headers? I like TTI's but Doug's are a little cleaner looking to me and possibly a little more corrosion resistance from what I have read here.

Not at all…..to me at least. I say it all the time…….you can’t(well….”shouldn’t”) directly compare results from different dyno services. We see it often……..engines tested at another shop……..and then when we test it the numbers are pretty far off.

Where can I buy a reliable remanufactured 318 for 1971 Duster?

I can tell you another place NOT to use. Clearwater Cylinder Head and Machine/Odessa Cylinder Head and Machine. Two different names, but one in the same outfit. STAY AWAY!

Where can I buy a reliable remanufactured 318 for 1971 Duster?

I wouldn't buy a motor from CME if they were the last place on earth. I called them first when I needed a 4.7 for my Dakota, because they are close enough to go pick it up. Every single person I spoke with that day on the phone had the shittiest attitude that could be. The sales guy wasn't the...
