A lot of 340 Dusters came with 3:23's from the factory. I have an 8 1/4 with 3:55's behind a pretty warmed up 318, so far so good. My engine builder told me my rear-end, built right, could handle 400- 425hp. I do believe my next upgrade may be a 8 3/4 rear. Also, I love the look of your Duster...

Hi, a local guy. Not sure on your question, but I have a 318 with 71-73 manifolds on it. I ended up buying the whole TTI exhaust system with head pipes that match my manifold id numbers. I know they sell just the head pipes, if that's what you are looking for. Just make sure you provide them...

The top part of the plunger was sealed if I remember correctly. It's been about 2+ years since I did them. Even the clamps I used were hard to find.
