Stop in for a cup of coffee

But when there's stuff to get done, sometimes you got to turn the computer off and focus the list. I only turned mine on cause I had to eat lunch inside. Turning it off now.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Some interesting similarities and differences. A 1916 car was not comparible to a 1970 car in terms of highway capabilities, ease of operation, etc. A 1970 car still can do everything a 2024 car can do although a little more effort and skill required. OTH not sure all 2024 cars would survive...

Every car is different but its not that hard to lower the steering column and remove the instrument panel. Then lay the harness out on the bench. Fix whatever is needed. Put it back in reverse. Look for ground connections the FSM may not mention. I found one of those. Actually two. Support...

Alternative fuel pump to Carter Street Super?

Holley Keith Dorton 110 Mechanical pump used to have decent regulation. If they haven't changed it, that will work. Or a factory replacement. Primary factor on fuel flow at high rpm is horsepower. Mechanical pump's ability to supply will increase somewhat with rpm - which is a good thing...

What do I need and what do I don’t!

Might be seeing an interlock override on the left fender Photo here. If so, scroll down to Townsend's post in the same thread for a way to rewire. EGR and Cat speed switch are shown in this one. Any idea what this is? Engine connector shown here 6. Cylinder duster is now a 340 ignition...

What do I need and what do I don’t!

1975 Standard main power and key switch feed circuit is a little different than other years. From the alternator power has two paths into the passenger compartment because the key switch feed (wire J1) has been spliced into R6 on the engine side of the firewall. Otherwise its...

What do I need and what do I don’t!

So some of the this may be self-inflicted? The '75 A-body splits the power on the engine compartment side, So its not like earlier models. If you didn't know that then this where you need to begin. Study the power feeds so you know where they go. The power circuit must be kept. Follow the...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Keeping it real. I'm from NJ too. North Jersey. We tell it as it is. On the other side of Madison I was going to buy a coffee and some fries at the McD's I stopped at to use the head. I figure its only fair to throw 'em some business for using the restroom. There's no fricken cashier! 5...

‘68 Dart, One tail light not working.

Do you have the shop manual and parts books? Pretty sure www.mymopar.com has both for '68. I have paper original and CD for 68 so haven't looked but pretty sure mymopar has them. Yellow insulation was used for dome light return, map light, etc. Orange was typically used for instrument...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

I guess so. What I carry in my pack is a trauma bandage. I also have a 1970s era small military first aid kit - but that's really not what I'd like to turn to unless that's the only choice. At work we have a nice kit with the trauma banadages in it. Mandatory to have on hand when running...

That sucks. My neighbor is in a similar boat with the thinners. Get some of the coagulant stuff that comes on trauma bandages. I think corn starch works too but since before WW2 there has been some advances on the Carlisle Banadage details.

Searching for 12v switched power after ditching ballast and installing aftermarket electronic ignition

I read it the same way. Key in any position otehr than start and J3 is isolated from the other relay terminals. Key in start, power from ignition switch through the safety switch (S2 to S4) causes the contacts to connect the battery feed to the J3 (lower contact). The upper contacts send power...
