    7 1/4 to a 8 3/4

If you can find an a-body 8.75 complete assembly with leaf springs, it's a much more simple swap.

Didn't Take Long After Moving to Find a Mopar Guy!

I went into a squadron gym. Mind you, there are three very nice fitness centers on base but most squadrons also have a gym...it's special Ops! Anyway, so I go into this gym - it's huge...everything you can imagine. In all four top corners of the room were huge speakers blaring - I mean...

Didn't Take Long After Moving to Find a Mopar Guy!

Thank you for your service!! I love being back on an Air Force Base. For the first two weeks anytime I answered the phone, I said TRDI, Sergeant Trace here!! Old habits die hard. Hurlburt is a very nice Base. Super nice facilities because of the mission. The AC-130 is no joke. It'll ruin...

    Monthly internet connection costs. Question?

We had and are getting again at our new home, AT&T fiber. When we had it in Georgia it was only $55/month, no other charges. We dropped cable a couple years ago. For awhile we had Hulu Live, which started at $65/month but went to $81. Now we have Hulu plus ESPN+, and Peakcock (which gives...

Didn't Take Long After Moving to Find a Mopar Guy!

The Georgia place sold in 5 weeks. Felt like a long time to us as we moved into a short term rental in Florida and still paid our mortgage!!! But 5 weeks is good. Here in the Florida panhandle houses priced fairly are sold in days!!

Didn't Take Long After Moving to Find a Mopar Guy!

You may have seen a recent post of mine about moving to the Florida panhandle. My new job is on Hurlburt Field Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach Florida. Within three weeks I run across a 70 Charger and a Road Runner. A couple weeks I see a Challenger and a 63 Impala. I finally had work...

    U-Haul car trailer experience?

Their trailers are great well built and fairly light. In the last two months I've used them twice, both times pulled behind their box truck. This was two weeks ago. I also loaded up the Barracuda before pulling it on the trailer. That 26' truck pulling a trailer got horrendous gas mileage...

    How to fix steering slop?

Yep, the op mentioned trying it and it didn't help. That's a very tricky adjustment. You want it two smidgens too loose rather one smidgen too tight. If you get it too tight, the car will track wherever you point it but won't change unless you move the wheel. It's not a good feeling.

    Rear end swap/install

I've learned to take my time and triple check everything. I don't do anything over and over enough to rush through projects. Better safe than sorry.

    Rear end swap/install

All go info above. I second regularly spraying down all fasteners for three days!! Much better if you can remove and replace the entire assembly...leaf springs and axle.

Getting fed up of high-perf , being happy with less

That's what keeps me driving mine. Every stop you get folks coming up and telling a story from back in the day . Always puts a smile on their face. Now, we just moved to the Florida panhandle and I got to tell you, it's warm here!!! Sure has me thinking about another old Jeep CJ-7. But...

Flex plate for 5.9 and 904

Yes, a stock 5.9 flexplate works. That's what I'm using. Seems like I had to oblong one hole though. Darn memory isn't as good as it once was!

    Camshaft for 5.2 magnum

I went with Oregon Cam Grinding #1280 on the advice of Rob (Rustyratrod). It's perfect for me. Edit: I went with a 110 LSA.

    Camshaft for 5.2 magnum

I think I had about $300 (regrind and postage to and fro) in sending my 5.9 cam to Oregon Cam Grinding. If you need help deciding on grind, you can even call and the owner Ken will help you decide. At first, I used an electric fuel pump but my grandson with Autism couldn't deal with the...
