How good (or bad) condition are the taillight housings in? I have good ones on my Valiant except for a lot of crows feet in the finish. I'm thinking the Barracuda fit Valiant also?
Need different bell housing, flywheel, motor mount with mounting blocks, V8 center link and drivers side exhaust manifold(can use just about anything on the passenger side). I think that should do it. Dennis
I ran Type F in my previous build and been running it for 2 years in my latest build with no ill effects. Others in our group have been running longer, one has race transmission with manual valve body and all the goodies. Dennis
Just check to make sure those headers fit with your power steering otherwise you're stuck with the iron manifold. They aren't too hard to come by. I have seen those and the drop V8 center link on here in the last month. You just gotta be quick. Dennis
Thanks for your trouble. Price is okay but my only shipping option would be USPS and that kinda puts them out of my reach so I have to pass. Hopefully I can find something more local. Good luck with your sale.
I got a kit from trailbeast early this year and put 3,000+ miles on it so far with zero problems. Ain't lookin' back. Couple of my friends like it and I suspect they will be ordering one or putting their own together over the winter. Dennis
I don't profess to have seen every car produced in those years. Just trying to help the seller since what he has is kinda rare.
What I know is that I have one on my 66 Valiant and my friend has one on his 66 Coronet. I had searched for one on here and the rest of the net for one for about 4...
Welcome aboard! Nice car and I love the story of it. I never owned a car more than about 5-6 years and usually have 3 or 4 at a time. I get bored and move on. If ya need help, this is the place to be. Dennis
You need to check on your "personal use " theory. So if I rent a dvd and make a copy for my own "personal use", it's ok? Naaah! Don't think so.
So it's ok if you just do it sometimes because we're not perfect?
Some people here will go and download Desktop Dyno and it will be okay cause...
No. Didn't do a search. Just thought someone on here might have some personal experience they would like to share.
It's not an a-body. It's a 66 hemi Coronet.
Thanks. I'll take a look.
I was aware of that of course but didn't know if anyone did it on a one to one basis.
Yeah...
Okay, it may be a silly question but does anyone resurface original clutch plates? Before anyone asks, no I don't mean the pressure plate or the flywheel. A friend has a 1 of 300 built car and has this thing about having the original clutch plate rebuilt. It's a 66 and he has owned the car since...
Wow! Never seen that link on here before. It's pretty good. Wish I had it when I did my swap but everyone here was a great help when needed. Even coming up with the parts.
Anyway, just want to say that all 66 centerlinks are not V8's. Mine was an air conditioned six with PS but still needed...
First off, I'm not an ignition expert but that being said, I don't think that is an HEI distributor, it just has an HEI style cap.
Also, if you look at the bottom of the coil page, it says it is for points style distributor only.
AJ/FormS has a smarta$$ way of putting it but more info wold be helpful in order to help you. That metal shim between the two manifolds is supposed to be there and should have been there before the repair. What do you mean by "cold start problems"? Is it hard to start or won't stay running...
Better to put studs in front and rear so if you need to remove the manifold or replace the gasket for any reason, you can do it without worrying about losing coolant.
