    I have an appointment on the 19th. The trans guy still thinks it’s linkage related. He keeps saying the rod needs more length to activate the KD but the KD lever already goes the maximum distance rearward when the pedal is floored so, I guess he will find out.

    yes, we adjusted the throttle cable to have the carb fully open with the pedal to the floor then verified the KD linkage was pushing the lever all the way back in that condition.

    That bracket you are pointing to on the red door holds the block and Allen screw... attachment point for the vent window frame. My 72 has vent windows and has that very same bracket.
