Shocks: looking for Blistein quality at KYB price.

I've seen pictures of your cars. You aren't aiming toward cornering and handling like some others are. Monroes may be fine for you and that is fine. The same applies to guys that are heavily into drag strip performance. I don't see the value in a $5000 set of heavily ported heads because I'm not...

No, he just makes sense and some people are too dense to see it.

You haven't started on women yet? How old are you? I suggest that you try them. They can be a LOT of fun.

    UTG vs DDG

I agree but I hate to listen to someone with an annoying voice. The guy is the male equivalent of Fran Drescher.

Changing the rear quarters on my Dart conv. from a 69 to a 70

The Canadian market had a few things a bit different than we did in the States. Didn't you guys get a GT model in 1970 and 71? I've never seen a Dart convertible past the 1969 model in the States. It is my understanding that none were built for the US market.

    Owner hoping for 50k?

I see a black engine bay and immediately deduct 50% of market value because if the car was owned by a real Mopar guy, the engine bay would be the color of the car. Nothing paintwise was original. The interior is missing numerous components. The seats were not original design. That car wouldn't...

    UTG vs DDG

Some people have stage presence and some do not. This is not to insult anyone. Please don’t take it as such. Tony has it. Even though I don’t agree with everything he says or does, he presents well on camera. Many don’t but we like them anyway. Look at Steve Dulcich. Nice guy, super smart...

Shocks: looking for Blistein quality at KYB price.

Once you understand the way that KYB Gas-A-Just shocks are constructed, you understand why they are inferior. Most non adjustable shock absorbers are either linear or progressive in their operation. This means that during operation, they have either equal rates of dampening from extension to...

The guy may be a decent person but the way that he talks is really annoying.

Changing the rear quarters on my Dart conv. from a 69 to a 70

Some people like fat chicks, women with big asses, flat chests, midgets, super tall, all sorts of things. The only reason I could see to do a '70 Dart convertible is because none were ever factory made. It would be unique.

Massive caster variance Side to side

My topics often get off course and have chatter unrelated to the main project but lots of good information gets passed along from other great members. You just have to sift through it all to find it.

I have a thread going at FBBO and another member posted up something like this....so I made my own. Alignment at home and aftermarket UCAS too. Page 6.

Bay Area Mopar Alley Show Saturday June 22nd 2024 DeAnza College

Every year, I see the signs outside the venue directing sellers to the swap meet. It reads... Swapers. Come on, man...Swapers ? Really? I expect to see crappy spelling errors at the junkyard or from immigrants fresh to the country but how is it that for over 10 years, NOBODY has fixed those...

Inside tire wear on the front.

Camber alone is not an issue unless you are one of these idiots: Even this car is a bit extreme: I've run between 3/4 degree and 1.0 degree of negative camber in my cars and trucks for literally hundreds of thousands of miles.... It isn't the camber that gets you. It is the toe...

Massive caster variance Side to side

The drive with caster this high didn't seem to be unusual. The steering wheel returns to center all by itself...when I let go of the wheel in a turn, it spins back to center. It didn't return with such intensity before when it had 3 degrees. Otherwise, It steered and drove fine. NO squeaks from...

How strong is a T-5 transmission?

In the 80s, the IROC Camaros had these transmissions in the 305 cars. the 350 cars were automatic only because they didn't trust the T5 to hold up to the 245 HP 350. That is pretty sad.

These are B body arms I have in my Charger. I was able to get 5 degrees of caster with stock arms and offset bushings. Maybe my car is blessed. I have another '70 Charger that I'm going to do some alignment testing on. That car tracks straight but hasn't been aligned since I've owned it. I...

Massive caster variance Side to side

I went ahead and aimed for 1.0 degree negative camber. The caster fell into line at 8.0 degrees I would have been okay with less but I’ll drive it and see. Both sides have the same numbers. Setting toe with these plates. I got it to 1/8” toe IN. Time to drive it.

The man wants MORE caster. How about this idea?

Thanks Bryan. I was thinking with the right: I could turn the rear cam bolt in a bit to get to 1.0 N camber and see where the caster lands. For the left: I could turn the front cam bolt in to get to 1.0 and see where the caster lands there. Between the two sides, I should be able to get...

The man wants MORE caster. How about this idea?

This car is not a commuter, it is just a toy. I put spacers in the right side like these: The reason? I couldn't get the camber to where I wanted with the caster that I could get. I'm being reminded of how inter-related that caster and camber can be. In short, I started down the road of...

The man wants MORE caster. How about this idea?

Instead of starting a new thread, how about THIS question...... How much is TOO much caster for a classic car with power steering? I'm working on my Charger and at one point, I'm at 8 1/2 degrees positive caster with 1 1/8 degree of negative camber. It seems that the car would be hard to steer...

I met a woman at a night club 30 years ago....she said that she worked for a local radio station. I said "That is great...you have the perfect face for radio..." She was not amused. I thought it was funny. She wasn't ugly but she had a lack of humor and that meant instant disqualification.

    UTG vs DDG

At the very least, Tony speaks in tones like a normal guy. That dork from the other channel changes his vocal inflection way too much. At the time that I rebuilt the 340 I was short on cash so I went with off the shelf cast pistons that had a lower compression ratio than I really wanted. Listen...

My point exactly. The bubble level allows for what equates to a reset for each time it is used to measure.

Massive caster variance Side to side

This is where there is difficulty in understanding the difference. This gauge: Does not stay in place the entire time. It can be removed and reattached. This gauge is used in a different manner than what is used on an alignment rack. Think of it this way: Turn the steering wheel 20 degrees to...
