    Small block to big block?

i'd say with what you're looking for a stroked big block will scratch that itch. absolute gobs of low end torque and no drama. you could probably build something real stout that could put down 500+ fl/lb and be done by 5200rpm while a stroked small bock is certainly no slouch and will...

    Wedding Car

in situations like this you must ask yourself: WWED? and 100% the King would roll the caddy. embrace the Elvis, be the Elvis. why? because Elvis is everywhere man.

Am I crazy or is this project Duster way overpriced?

i recently saw a beater 64~66 4dr val with a slant up for sub 2K and i almost bought it just because i ain't seen a one like that in ages. like man, that's legit what that thing is worth not the 5K plus every ding-dong is asking.

Am I crazy or is this project Duster way overpriced?

man, you'd be surprised. there's some real crack pipe pricing going around of late. also, as 72blu eluded to, people see these cars sell for 60K and think: hell, mine's gotta be worth half that! because "reasons" that only make sense in their head.

Am I crazy or is this project Duster way overpriced?

prices have gone up since the earl aughts, but not that much. 6-ish is a little more in line with with what that should probably go for-- location dependent. the interior is passable, the body looks rock solid and the undercarriage looks workable. that's all plusses. also, expand your search...

    75 dart

...angle of the dangle is right, so you'll need to weld on fresh ones in the right position at the right angle. stock width on a 35 is 58.5 and i *think* a 44 is 60? so i'd guess that the 8.25 is in that neighborhood. stock a-body width is 56-3/4~57-1/8, so you're either narrowing that axle or...

    7 1/4 to a 8 3/4

if your shaft is good condition, i'd just have that worked to fit; it would be the most economical path. but if you wind up needing a combo joint and don't want to run that, then i'd source a new one or just have one built. not that there's anything wrong with running a combo. shorter answer...

    7 1/4 to a 8 3/4

your e-brake cables may or may not work or may need some fiddling to hook up. likely need a new brake drop line from frame to axle. depending on carrier and what you have, you may need to swap the u-joint or run a combo style one, but that goes along with shortening the shaft like gdrill said.

    Torque converter in manual bellhousing?

...and brown in a hurry. that's if you can even get the starter to engage. who knows if the critical distance to the ring gear is that same (edit: it *probably* is) why not track down a flywheel that would be proper for the bell? it'd be a helluva lot saner and safer. or just build a start cart.

it's a window... and it's in the kitchen so i kinda, sorta need standard screen there. the screen door is one of those all metal security types. thank [insert deity of choice] for that.

i contemplated alum screen, but i couldn't find any the first time they busted out the billion year old unit so i settled for whatever passed for super heavy duty. it's held up well thus far. i didn't have to replace it, just "reset it" because they like to lean and flop against the screen and...

    Apologies

PM me a link or shoot one up here. or start a thread asking about it. i don't know what bodywork costs where you are, so you may need some one with more local flavor to answer that part of the question. remember, on the price i can only speak as to what something like that would likely sell for...

    8 3/4 identification. 391 gears

i'm not sure entirely what you're asking but here's a measurement chart for the rear end and axles https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/an-accurate-8-3-4-rear-axle-width-list.365494/ if you're asking how to ID the gears you can pop the carrier out and it'll be stamped on the ring gear...

    Jim Slusser Buyer Beware

this whole thread is a bigger tease than Francesca DeLongpre in short shorts and bikini tops that one summer between junior and senior year when it was hotter than anybody could remember. lemme tells ya, now there was a gal that could haul some heads on a airport trolley!

    Vanguard Motorsales

let me rephrase: hot rod joe couldn't build it for that because he's paying shops to do all the work. i could absolutely build it for that, it's just there wouldn't be much meat left on the bone when it came time to flip it.

    Vanguard Motorsales

original slant car, so there's that. but given where the market is it don't find this totally out of line. there's a bunch of stuff that i don't particularly care for, and some stuff that's not my style, and a little bit of the obvious liberties taken/good enough/that'll work. however, it's...

    I hate BMW’s

fair enough. i love, love, love their little 2T bikes (and *some* of their scooters) but they are a legit pain in all nine assholes to work on and get parts for. the RS125 is a stupidly fun bike and begs to be ridden in a ridiculous manner.

    I hate BMW’s

i love how DTM goes from: "what are the benefits to leasing a car" to knowing all about it in the span of six posts and several hours. this is why people clown on you all the time. i'm sure the DMV knows all about leasing a car. jfc. *makes wanking motion*
