Trying out a spreadbore cab on the Duster.

Generally speaking, the spreadbore carbs have single holes drilled for mounting them while square bore carbs often have two (so they can be mounted on OE spreadbore manifolds. Holley 4165 carbs (and quadrajets/thermoquads) are a good example of spreadbore carbs.

Trying out a spreadbore cab on the Duster.

Just because the secondaries are bigger does not mean it is a SB. The AFB is considered a squarebore.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

I had my fun! 2000 miles give or take. Right side hood latch would come loose now and then on the way back. Pulled off here at the Lewistown Narrows to relatch it - 8:05 PM according to my photo. Sorry it didn't work out. Maybe I'll catch ya at Carlisle

    '67 BUCKET SEAT HEADREST FABRICATION.

Thanks Super-Cuda, One huge problem I've had is just not knowing what fits what. I did see a couple of '67 C-body headrests on ebay, but they were very expensive and worn out. I passed on them since I didn't want to "spend good money after bad" as they say. I did try to get B-body headrests, as...

    K-frame alignment?

I’m with @67Dart273 on this, something has to be bent or out of whack. I’ve had the K out of several of my cars and have never had an issue with the K frame alignment. There’s obviously some tolerance there, but the tolerance on the suspension points of these cars is like a 1/4” so that much can...

Trying out a spreadbore cab on the Duster.

Like Mike said, if you want to try a spreadbore, go to a thermoquad. Tuned properly, they are awesome! Second only to the TQ is the square bore Edelbrock AVS2 series. The annular boosters provide vastly improved low and mid range throttle response over any Holley I've ever used. Edit: the AFB...

Cost for labor on stroker build?

Agreed. Also, if you spend some money now on good flowing heads, you won't need to upgrade them for most future mods.

9" Front Drum Brake Spindle Orientation

I have been rebuilding the K-member and all of the front suspension parts and getting that ready. The 9" drum brakes are going back on for now. Everything is apart and I don't remember what spindle is the right side or the left side. The 9" spindle has that swan neck so they are directional...

Trying out a spreadbore cab on the Duster.

The Carter carburetor in your pictures is not a spreadbore. You should look for a Thermoquad carburetor, Q-jet or a Holley spreadbore. The secondaries are significantly bigger on a spreadbore.
