I'd forgotten how ugly the Superbird really was ...

For me, it's '70 hardtop B Bodies. Picture a woman laying on her back. The rear fenders on the B Body are the hips, the doors are the waist, and the rear window curves outwards in the center, inward on either side like where the thighs meet the lower belly.... I like my women a little more...

I'd forgotten how ugly the Superbird really was ...

Maybe the Corvette owner just needed a place to dry towels.

Fixed it for you. Nobody thought they were attractive until they were valuable.

I'd forgotten how ugly the Superbird really was ...

What a Godawful car. No wonder they stopped making them after one year.

    Monthly internet connection costs. Question?

I missed this thread, but I pay $55/month. It's the only thing I lease that I don't own, service provided by Brightspeed.

I owe you all an apology

I've been a dick through the years, to be sure. I'm trying to be a better person, and I'm trying to be that here as well. I've been kind of crappy to some of you. I'm sorry. I promise I'll do better and be better. That's genuine. So, whichever one of you told Youtube to start putting Scotty...

Saw my first Cybertruck during my drive into work this morning.

Just like '08, the reality of EV's is setting in. There's a time and a place. They work much better in western Europe, but here in the US, they're impractical for lots of things. Tesla suffers from the Jurassic Park Problem: Just because they can, does that mean that they should? i.e...

Saw my first Cybertruck during my drive into work this morning.

I recently watched the drag race callout where they towed the Porsche and raced the other Porsche. Admittedly, they gave it a good run for towing another vehicle, but it also highlighted how much marketing and sneaking Tesla does. Musk is great about sensationalism and he is a mainly an idea...

Saw my first Cybertruck during my drive into work this morning.

I saw one Saturday. I, for one, love the Cybertruck. It's revealing Tesla for the smoke n' mirrors overhyped, over-engineered, under-thought trash that they are.

He just runs right over old farm tractor

He had a shoulder no matter what. It ain't his fault, but he paid the price. Sometimes you just gotta be responsible for yourself and there's no other way to say it.

    Solicitor repellant

I just interrupt them by word two and tell them I'm a convicted felon and can't vote. That wraps things up pretty quick. Works good on people stopping you out front of stores, too.

He just runs right over old farm tractor

I'm sure the families of those involved will find significant consolation in that.

He just runs right over old farm tractor

Please see attached photo. This is where tractor man belongs when using his decidedly off-road vehicle to go long distances along a divided highway. Trucker was in the wrong, but someone going five under on the freeway is a lot less likely to be hit (much more relative time between vehicles)...

He just runs right over old farm tractor

He was on a divided highway going, at best, 25mph. Trucker was in the wrong, but tractor man is the one that lost. Just because it's legal doesn't make it wise.

He just runs right over old farm tractor

Don't rewatch the video if you don't want to see it, then. Farmer Bob just found out why it's illegal to ride Mopeds and horses on the Interstate. Sorry to say it, but that's Darwin.

New Challenger - deep discounts again

They're not selling them that cheap around here. I'd like one with just about any engine, so long as it doesn't have the government shutyoudown package that's about to become mandatory.

    MIA

68383GTS hasn't been around in awhile. He had a smallblock overdrive bellhousing I was talking to him about, and I don't know if I just pissed him off or what, but he's been silent since February.

Real Estate agents....can u explain land transfer tax?

I woulda figured that living in a land full of Canadians would kept the property values down more than that... :poke:

    Leaf spring question

I've looked at fiberglass and carbon fiber leaf springs to save weight. Problem is, they break, and they're mono leaf. Do people ever run a steel single main leaf with fiberglass or carbon fiber leaves for the rest of the stack? No breaky breaky but still lighter than a pile of steel.

    Old Internationals

I'm pretty sure stopping those old trucks just relied on rolling resistance, wind resistance and good luck. Curious for answers.
