Yep,this is a big problem in California. The ethanol does a number on traditional rubber diaphragms in fuel pumps,rubber fuel lines,as well as carb kits. Ethanol fuel also causes less efficient combustion which results in reduced mileage....but it's "green". Lol.

Bingo. That's what I was assuming when I saw the numbers but wasn't sure. But if you look at the book again the 51.53" measurements are also A833 transmissions. The a904 only has one ujoint size listed 2760 and shows the same number as before 52.25."

Maybe the difference is U joints? What does 7260 and 7290 mean?

A 318/904/7 1/4" uses the same 3" diameter 52.58" driveshaft that the 8 3/4" uses? How can that be? The 7 1/4 rear is smaller and uses an even longer driveshaft that is 54.61" long. (Again,these numbers are for the Dart and from the 67 parts catalog Dana67Dart posted.

When I showed up to pick it up I saw that. Seems sellers always leave something out of the description. Part of the metal fork where the bolt goes through split a little bit so the guy ran a longer bolt through it with a nut behind. He was driving it that way. Yeah,wasnt happy about that...

Cool. So it would appear I could add shoulder belts to mine then sometime in the future. I figured Chrysler would have just had the mounting holes on all the roofs in case someone ordered them and for when the mandate took effecf.

That's what I was assuming too,but am not sure. I was thinking Chrysler,knowing the belts would be mandatory mid year would have had the mounting areas installed on all the cars in anticipation of it.

I have a 1968 Dart 270. It is an early production model without front shoulder belts. I know that later that year front belts were mandated so all cars got them from that point on. My question is did all 1968 darts have mounting points for the front shoulder belts and clips near the A Pillars?
