[WANTED] Spider and dog bones for 318 and Magnum roller cam

Any chance you will be at Norwalk for the NHRA race this Sunday? I can deliver since I will be there, weather permitting.

Flex plate for 5.9 and 904

Your setup is very different than a factory 5.9 Magnum rotating assembly. @Johnny Mac explained this about Bluprint Engines' balancing technique in post 3 of the thread below. What torque convertor do I use?

    Roller LA Deck Height

Totally agree on the adjustable stuff. I was responding to post 16 which reopened this thread, and I made the assumption of non-adjustable hydraulic setup based on his description of the heads and block he used. My bad.

    Roller LA Deck Height

Some of the old LA engines came from the factory slightly higher than 9.6 deck, due to that manufacturing tolerance. Your numbers are valid on paper but without knowing actual measured specs your particular parts it is still a guess. If you remove a valve cover and find one of the rocker arms...

    Roller LA Deck Height

Deck height variance and pushrod length have very little to do with valvetrain geometry on an LA Mopar small block using factory rocker arms. The geometry is fixed since the shaft mounting and the size of the rocker arm do not change. The only thing a longer or shorter pushrod will do is set the...

Flex plate for 5.9 and 904

That is a lot of shim thickness. I would be afraid of that restricting fluid flow back from the converter. Or maybe to the converter. Not sure. But either way, the easiest thing to do is use the old Magnum flex plate to mark the position of the weight onto the converter itself. Then remove the...

    Fuel pump eccentric problem

Hughes Engines has a version like that available. I think the Mopar one was discontinued, along with almost everything for these old engines.

    Fuel pump eccentric problem

Provide more details. Original cam or replacement? Long snout cam or short snout? Original washer setup or replacement? Maybe even post a picture of the cam gear before the washer and bolt are installed.

My apologies. I misread the original post.

A body big block back to small block

I did the same thing on my 75 Dart Sport. It started out as a slant six car and I installed a big block using the Schumacher conversion mounts. Ran it that way a few years and then removed the big block when it wiped a flat tappet cam lobe. Big block is on hold for a while and had a 360 small...

    New Project

These maybe look like the late 80s to mid 90s Ford truck and van wheels. A long time ago my brother got a set of aftermarket wheels from a Ford with same bolt pattern but they did not fit the center hub on his 90 Ramcharger. Had to open up the center the hole just like that. So I guess Ford used...

[WANTED] 81-93 Dodge Ram Parts Needed

In the first picture, what engine is the large bracket for? I don't remember seeing that on a v8 truck, and my 89 Ramcharger definitely does not have that for it's factory original LA 360 V8. Mine only has the other two brackets shown in the second picture.

69 Dart Drag Car Makes Maiden Voyage

Looks good and sounds good. Can you give a quick rundown of the engine and driveline combination? And maybe a picture of the engine. We like pictures.

    F.A.S.T at Empire Dragway 5/24/24-5/26/24

What kind of track prep is done during these events? is it prepped for a lot of sticky grip? Not sure I ever heard anyone talk about the prep for these events and I am very curious. one of these days I need to get out and see these cars run. They look so darn good but they are so quick and fast...

Welcome back old friend. My .300 numbers are back

You are talking about 2.055" intake valves, right? I assume 1.055 was a typo.

Finally getting on a job that I had on my winter list. And didn’t get to

If you are feeling overwhelmed with too many things to get done, you can send that blue Duster my way. Just kidding, of course. Good plan to work on the stuff you already have laying around. Get that stuff done and find them a new home.

70 dart 470 ci drag car build.

It is easier for me to put the inner race in first, then place the rollers, then pinch the springs with your fingers and slide them down into place. No fighting the whole mess at one time. Keep up the good work. I am enjoying the build and looking forward to the track results.

I bought a Summit Racing Crankshaft

I was looking at these recently and wondering if they were any good. Can you tell us which part number you ordered? Also, post a couple more pictures showing the entire crankshaft and then a closeup of that rod journal in the first picture. Is that an undercut journal?

    accessory holes B1Ba heads

The coolant passage from the head deck surface is right next to that accessory bolt boss area and it is not as thick there, but you should not be drilling there. Here is a picture with my caliper pointing to the thinner area. It is thinner inside the coolant passage here, not just thinner on the...

    accessory holes B1Ba heads

In the spot your circle is drawn there is 1.4” depth to the intake coolant passage behind it. The intake manifold bolt blind hole is drilled about 1” depth, so it intersects that area just under your circle. Here is a picture with a mark showing where the bolt hole should end up intersecting...

Got my new toy home yesterday.

That is going to be one kick *** bracket truck. I hope we get some in-car video of a pass after you get it running so we can hear that small block sing.

Got my new toy home yesterday.

Dakotas make good looking race trucks for sure. Was this an old Pro Stock Truck class truck or a purpose built bracket truck? Any more pictures of it? I looked it up and this truck was not in the Pro Stock Truck thread from a while back. Pro Stock Truck. Man I loved that class

    Edelbrock Victor small block head……

I just noticed Summit is showing five of these 61729 Edelbrock Victor small block heads in stock again right now on 4/5/2024. I can only dream about them, so somebody needs to hurry up and buy these.

Can you fill in some details to finish off this thread? What exactly is this truck? Rear axle ratio? Rear tire size? Glad it worked out. It will be so much nicer to cruise in overdrive.

    A518 46RH rebuild

The main problem I think you'll have trying to run the old style 727 mount and crossmember is that I "think" the whole setup will raise the rear of the transmission too high, throwing off driveline angles. You may end up needing to cut the center out and fabricate a new flatter center like one...

    A518 46RH rebuild

Here is the 727 trans mount setup from my 89 Ramcharger. There is a u-shaped bracket bolted to the trans. There is a large shaped adapter bracket on the bottom that matches the crossmember. And sandwiched in between is the actual rear trans mount with rubber insulator. Now here is the...
