What is the best/worst you've done when selling at a swap meet?

I have a Mopar bud in Al. He had a bud that owned an old boneyard and he would let my friend go out and take off bolts, screws, the little things for free. My bud would drive to Carlisle and sell these "trinkets" for $1 ea. He had many many little plastic boxes with 3 x 3 holds for each and...

    Real estate question.

In most of Texas, r/e agents pay each month to list on a website that is limited to listings of r/e agents. A guy can always put up a sign on property that says "for sale by owner!". :BangHead: Works for some property in some areas.

    Real estate question.

Inquire as to a well known KNOWLEDGable R/E office/agent, have them research comparable sales and see their opinion. Or have it appraised. Many people think their property is commercial when in fact it is not.

What is the best/worst you've done when selling at a swap meet?

I could always recognize a what I thought was a fair price, and paid that for a part I needed. If a part I needed, I thought was over priced I made an offer. If the guy got pissed and beligerant, I left his spot never to never return again. I have paid premium for parts that were hard to...

What is the best/worst you've done when selling at a swap meet?

When I went to Mopar Nats. back decades ago, I got there as soon as gates opened on Thur. for the early bird buyers and the other parts vendors looking for good deals to flip. I sold about 30% of my parts Thur, and by Fri late afternoon I was usually 70% sold out and by Sat at noon 98% sold...

What is the best/worst you've done when selling at a swap meet?

What is the best/worst you've done when selling at a swap meet?

I had been to Mopar Nats every year from maybe 1985 till last time, about 2003 or 4. Missouri to Ohio was 12 hours, hated that nasty place. One to Carlisle twice. Love it but way too far. selling parts helped pay for parts/materials for my builders. Or did it!??? Most fun I had was when...

    The thrill is gone?

When the guy spends years restoring his old car to perfect, then it sits in his garage and never drives it because IF he did he would maybe get a scratch or door ding OR get the engine dusty...... but he blames it all on OCD!!!! just maybe........ :poke: :BangHead:

    The thrill is gone?

IF you did not listen to that Allen Jackson song, please do. If you live long enough, you will wake up one day and say, wish I had done such and such when I could. One day, you will not wake up. If you live long enough, one day you will wake up and realize you have outlived most of your...

Why are classic 4 door sedans "disliked"?

What is considered COOL in 2024 by some of the mostly younger generation today was not cool in 1968. Dads 4 door was NOT cool. I like many four doors and of different brands. But,, IF you do a four door, be sure to keep it,,,,, unlikely to ever recoup your $ you have in it. Just life...

Am I crazy or is this project Duster way overpriced?

^^^ I agree, but I dislike the 73 up interior plastic, the tiny inside door handles but yes it can all be done. 5 mph bumpers are so UGLY on any car!!! Those thin bumpers make the early Dusters!! Decent project/builders have got hard to find around here and silly asking $ and always too darn...

Am I crazy or is this project Duster way overpriced?

I agree with the above statements, but myself, I hate the plastic interior pieces, as in the plastic covers in the A pillow, top of doors, the SMALL interior door handles, the silly 5 mph bumpers...I really don't mind the beaker look so much. And pretty much fact is any old car built after 71...

    Dmv title help

Every state is different. I have a 75 car that a PO had changed out dash pads and thus the vin was left on that swapped in dash. It came into Tx from out of state so it required the Tx DPS to check it out and they saw the issue. TX DPS then stamped their vin on the B pillow and issued a Tx...

Am I crazy or is this project Duster way overpriced?

For those that did not live the era. I admit I am spoiled from the "old days" when the "muscle cars" built in the 60s, early 70s first came into favor. (They were mostly sorta woreout sorta rusty mustly OLD cars unless a garage pampered 70 hemi Cuda.) Which was mid 80s when people realized new...

Today. I say just about the only way to ever buy a project for what it is really worth, is to get one off a hobbiest that has restored 100% or even just a little. They have an understanding. The dudes that has them for sale on Marketplace, CL have no clue. They simply research what the other...
