I would replace them. If for nothing else but peace of mind like you are doing with the bearings. They aren't that expensive anyway...

Are there any experienced beer drinkers here?

Well, being a Canadian beer drinker, I've tried a lot of beers in Canada and the U.S.A. when I was down there in my 20s and that was a lot... Yeah, tastes change, but so do the beers. My go to in the U.S. was Coors or Miller High Life. It still is. I had my fair share of Pabst Blue Ribbon...

UPDATE - Looks so good but ya can't shut the hood

I like the way you think. O.P., You could take a page out of the '68 Super Stock Hemi A-Bodies and put 1'' aluminum spacers under the frame between the K-member and the frame to lower the engine in the engine compartment, and no one will know unless they look! Cheap and dirty...

    Tranny Id needed.

Yes and as well it would be a 23 spline input shaft and non overdrive as found in '75 and up cars... The flywheel would be a 130 tooth that takes a 10 1/2'' 23 spline clutch disc and matching pressure plate.

    67-69 Dart seat frames question

I am not totally sure if they are the same because I have never seen a frame without the upholstery on it. But, my guess is that they all would have had the provisions for head rests built in all seats because it was an option. (Even in '68).

Please Help Me - Posting for my 70 year old grandfather

I had the front and back seats for my '69 Dart 2 door HT (split bench front and regular rear) done locally by a local guy that does upholstery on the side and I am pleased with the results. He did the front and rear seats, cleaned up and painted the cores and fixed the springs as needed, used...

Speaking Of Hard To Get Parts....

I've had good luck with Classic Industries in the recent past (this spring). I talked to a young guy about ordering the parts I needed, and he was spot on. And the order came in ahead of time and was 100% correct. I haven't had a problem with Rock Auto or Summit in the past either, but it has...

    440 Pistons, How F*cked am I

I would certainly replace it. Would you buy an engine that you knew had a piston like that in it to run it and not rebuild it properly? If you were selling the same engine, would you warrantee it? That will give you your answer right there...

Too bad it was tagged in right rear quarter. It probably wouldn't be a bad car if it was fixed properly with a new quarter. That car would have all of the goodies like BBP discs on the front, seeing that it's a V8 car. Yes, I do have a soft spot for the 4 doors, it would make a great sleeper...

    MTF Comparisons?

I agree. However, 75W-140 GL4 is the same as straight 140 GL4 when it's warmed up. The viscosity changes as it's warmed up to full operating temperature. The ''W'' in any oil is for winter, not weight. And using GL4 oil is the right choice, not GL5 which is too slippery. So, the oil flows like...

    best camshaft brand

Great topic. Personally, I've been lucky over the years, but I have almost exclusively used Direct Connection or Mopar Performance cam kits. And using the proper break in procedures with the right oil helps a lot. (prelube and start within the first 10 seconds) And to maintain the cam and...

    Kmart submarine sandwich recipe

A friend of my brother's got an mechanic's apprenticeship at the K-Mart in my home town when I was young. He made journeyman there and was (and still is) a good mechanic. Because I knew him and the manager, I got great deals on alignments, parts, and tires etc. Yeah, the K-Mart was the Walmart...

    MTF Comparisons?

I don't get why you think that this is a contradiction. Pennzoil Syncromesh is not a synthetic manual transmission gear oil. Yes, it is ''lighter'' than regular 90w gear oils, but that doesn't mean it's synthetic. It's kinda like AJ uses which is 50/50 Dexron ATF and regular GL4 dino gear oil...

    MTF Comparisons?

I used Pennzoil Syncromesh with great results. Do NOT use synthetic oil in these transmissions, it's actually too slippery as previously mentioned by AJ. And that's a pity, I am a synthetic oil type of guy...
