I raced one In 1970 with my 65 Formula S 4spd and beat it.It was a powerglide 327 motor but not shure about the year. that powerglide would be a killer for that cars performance.I had 3,91s, top end if you had enough room He would ketch me.
if you want to change over you have to swap out every thing past the axle housing, backing plate drums brake parts. B Body stuff works ;I think 8.25 stuff fits also.New Axels are readily available.I bought axles from mancini racing.
compared to unrestored cars in my neighborhood that car looks good. it wouldn't be that bad to restore. it is far better than mine was. I am a little jealous. Those grills are worth thier weight in gold.
i AM GOING. Year six. Its like going to hevin for a week end. I park where you can watch all the cars in the stageing lanes to race. cook on grill drink beer, it doesn't get any better. A bodies only is supposed to reserve the same area i have been parking in every year.So we can all have a...
It had an AFB carb from 383 that's all. It was a little down hill track. It would have been a little slower on a different track. It ran really good and beat a lot of mustangs and camaros it shouldn't have. They weren't very happy. That was in 1969 70.I had a stack of time slips it was...

the modern 4 cylinder cars are hard to beat on gas mileage . i drive 20000 miles a year and they pay for themselves in gas saveings. i keep a fullsize van spare for a workhorse. your the one driveing it so you should pick the one you want to drive
my dad found my 65 fs barracuda to keep me from buying a mustang in 1968 and i was blowing the doors of z28s and murdering 289 mustangs sold me for life.
it will cost you more than 400$ to buy gears bearings and set up the rear end. I like to keep a variety of rear ends for different moods. you can sell and buy for even money if that's what you want to do. They aren't that hard to swap out for a variety. You can buy one complete for the cost of...
whats up for the nationals. is anybody organizing a spot for a bodies only. i see we would have to register as a group. its time to preregister. after June it cost more. whose going. I will be their for sure.
i recommend if you can afford it get one that has or is adaptable to gas shield for you can run smaller wire than a flux core. then you can weld thinner metal such as body metal. you buy cheap you get cheap.
