Absolutely on that too. Fellow told me they were pretty well balanced factory, but I will look at getting the crank balanced nonetheless.

Budget build wise,,,,,,,, probably $3-$5k. Doing what I can, when I can. And even that can escalate at any point in the build.

Looking for suggestions for a factory 383ci. set of heads. Blocks at the machine shop getting sonic tested and punched out .070". Cam hasn't been bought yet. I'd take suggestions there too! First time BB build.

Totally the opposite as to what your recommending. However I have to ask. What's gonna be the best overall " factory head " that " I " can get/find for " my " build. I don't want constant race. Just a decent sound. 1969, 383 punched .070 over.

I agree with Volare Don. Pay the extra cash and get something you won't regret buying. I barely broke even reselling the 2nd 1. If it wasn't for the money made off the first 1 to compensate buying the 2nd 1, I'd went backwards. Never again.
