    215/70-14 is the largest size tire you can use on a 5.5" wide rim according to tire manufacturers, I dont think it would be terrible to use a 225/70-14 if you really wanted to, anything larger or lower profile would be a bad idea though

    with a small 7 1/4" ring gear, you have a very small pinion gear, and teeny tiny little end gears (the ones that the axles fit into, and the ones that rotate inside the carrier) the smaller the gear, the weaker it is

    replacement of the tool is not the reason to avoid cheap tools stripped bolts, stripped nuts, stripped screws, busted knuckles, and various assorted broken parts are the reason to avoid cheap tools, remember it is better to leave it fixed, than to break it with cheap tools :coffee2:

    if you are on a budget, you can have a spring shop re-arch your old five leaf springs AND ad a leaf making them into heavy duty six leaf springs, if you just have them re-arched without adding a leaf, they will not stay that way for long, and the back of the car will quickly settle back down...
