I am almost finished my 1965 Valiant convertable after 5 years of working on it. I now have these parts that I think the painter removed from it. does anyone know where they belong? They are about 6 inches long.

That is interesting. Years ago I had a 63 Chevy ll convertable and when I tried to order the arm rests with ashtrays I ran into the same thing.

I am now getting the interior of my 65 Valiant Convert. done and it had ashtrays in the door pulls and in the rear arm rest areas. Does anyone know where I could find these? I have found them for other years but not mine.

I have had to rebuild the frame for the top and I installed my top. the Hold down clamps for the top looked like this picture when I got the car. Can anyone show me what they should look like and if possible where I can get replacements?

I think you are right. I did pick up a used unit and it has been not used for some time. When I hit the brake on the idle it did miss and continued until I removed my foot. Yesterday I did move the connection the carb and it worked O.K. but I think I need to get it checked.

I have had my 65 valiant 225 engine off the road for a few years and I did add power brakes. I now have the engine running but when I hit the brake pedal the engine misses. I assume it has to do with the vacuum portion of the brake system. any Ideas?

This is what came with mine and I have it attached. Looks like I just need to finish the end and then install the holders for the seal.

My header seal piece was bad and one side piece was missing but I had an old time sheet metal man make something that should work. He did make me a new side piece as well.

I have a 65 Valiant Convertable (a Canadian model) and both of mine were cracked too.On the drivers side 2 were broken and one on the passenger side. I replaced them with the ones from my 1966 parts car.

Thanks , Those will be a great help since I did not take any pictures until I had the frame out of the car. Keep in mind that I have a 1966 Canadian Valiant 4 door parts car that is similar to a Dart in many ways if you need any small parts. I am in Canada so shipping large pieces is costly.
