Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

A few folks have asked "what's going to happen if there's not enough clearance for the shifter torque shaft once the 2004R is installed?" Well all my measurements say that there's enough clearance but if there is not enough clearance here's the back up plan. See PICS, Put a small hole in the...

Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

Just to keep the thread alive while I wait for the rest of my 2004R parts. Here are some pics of the KILLER arm rest I designed and built while waiting for the tranny parts. It's nice and sold and well padded. I also built it high enough to be able to open and access the console compartment...

    Rear End ID HELP!!

Sounds like a good plan. I think this car is really nice. I've seen some Cudas here on FABO that were total rust buckets with all floors, fenders, rear glass channel, etc, etc replaced. This car wouldn't need nearly as much work and someone could save themselves a year of work and a little...

    Rear End ID HELP!!

I also wish you weren't broke...REALLY!! The floor pans have a little rust but not too bad compared to most. The exterior has a little rust here and there but not bad at all. You can see the paint is old (at least 9 years old) if there had been a lot of rust it would showing by now. I hate...

    Rear End ID HELP!!

Damnnnnn that was fast!!! yes the car body is pretty nice, I'm selling the whole car or parting it out. It's missing the whole front suspension and K member but the body itself is in pretty good condition compared to some I've seen restored on FABO. The car came with a sweet set of wide...

Yours is so much nicer looking than mine. I guess I need to jack it up and check for sure-grip?? I plan to sell it but I want to make an honest assessment of what I'm selling. It is in a a-body, can you give me an idea of what it's worth? thanks, Treblig

    Rear End ID HELP!!

Just bought this car ('68 FB Cuda). It has a rear end that doesn't show on the Mopar Axle spotter's guide. Here are some pics. I plan to sell (part out the car) but I can't advertise the rear unless I know exactly what it is. thanks, Treblig

Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

I'll get there, it's just a matter of time. The torque converter should be here in three weeks and while I wait I plan to order the rest of the tranny parts. In the last couple of weeks I have managed to clean and undercoat the underside of the Cuda, readjusted the front anti-sway bar...

Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

Thanks for keeping up with my labor of love (SPEED!!). Close as I can figure I've spent about $891 not including parts for the 390 stroker. But then again, I'm going way overboard on some of these things because I'm crazy and I like to make stuff. My plan was to build a 390 stroker with...

Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

Finally got my 2004r hardened sun shell!!. Also ordered the 1800 stall non lock-up torque converter with brazed fins. Also just bought a '67 Fastback Cuda body, no motor or trans but lots of parts to sell. Body isn't bad at all but I already have a nice fastback so I don't need another...

    Overdrive auto for a 383 72 Dart

WELCOME Colts383dart, Read your thread and thought I'd let you know that I'm in the process of building a 2004R for my '69 Cuda. I plan to build a 318/390 stroker after I install the 2004R in my Cuda. There is a thread showing all the problems I have run into and solved before I install the...

Will GM 200r4 work with factory floor shift location?

Finally received the Hardened Pump stator support. Now I have to wait for all the other stuff. I think I've decided to go with the 1600-1800 GN torque converter , non luck up with brazed fins. I don't plan on doing any racing just the occasional ROMP in the street. treblig
