    7.25 sure grip

The bone yard picking in western KY is mighty slim when it comes to Mopar. I read that early to mid 90 ford explorer diffs would work with some mods to one side axle housing. What year mustang/comet/granada(?) are you referrring to? I might have a chance with one of those. Thanks again guys

    7.25 sure grip

Hey guys for all the information. The early 70's is where I got confused. I'm redoing a /6 65 cuda and if I run out of money before I can get a bbp rear end I was looking for options. A friend said that the 7.25 came in bbp and sure grip and that I might be able to use something like that if the...

What are your favorite NON MOPAR cars?

If I wasn't redoing mom and dads 65 cuda it would be a 1953-54 studebaker commander 2 dr hardtop or coupe. I think they had the lead on styling at that time.

Anybody done any wild dash/instrument customization?

look at speed hut. they have a speedo/tach combo and quad combos as well as other single display units. They seem to be reasonably priced. I plan on using the speed/tach and quad units in my 65 cuda, also coupled with ISSIS

    increasing compression

Thanks for ALL the wonderful information. I will run the original until I can get another built to fit the use. I was leaning towards milling both the block and head and am now convinced that's the way to go. I have a super six manifold and carb set that I will add to the new build along with an...

    increasing compression

I plan on it being a "peppy" driver that I can drive from KY to Vegas. Have original motor in it now that's been rebuilt and runs well. Hope to get another /6 to "modify" and use on a daily basis. (My dad bought the car in Seattle in 1965. Mom used it for work, about 3 mile a day.)

To follow up then, Which is better a small combustion chamber, or a large chamber with a modest to no deck height ?

    increasing compression

Everyone says to mill the heads in order to increase the compression, would there be any benefit to milling the block, if you could get it in the milling machine? :-k

    First Car Stories

I got my first car, a 1948 ford convertible, in 1956. My dad drove it home from a wrecking yard at Christmas. I was to turn 16 in May of the next year. My "job" was to repair ALL the systems that didn't work and the fix the body. I never did get the top mechanism to operate. We parked it my...
