    IBM Card 1971 Duster 340

I have looked, and we are probably talking the same thing here, different language, or whatever it's called. Broadcast sheet has more codes, however it all comes from the IBM card. I like the details, and my understanding is the IBM card/data feeds everything to the broadcast sheet and fender...

    IBM Card 1971 Duster 340

My understanding is the IBM build card came first, then the broadcast sheet and fender tag. IBM card has everything a broadcast sheet has, and more, except for part numbers listed at the bottom under the two BUILD CODES sections, such as the Torsion Bar #s. The fender tag cannot fit everything...

    News from Stellantis Historical-IBM cards

I was told it would be $45 when I ordered mine back in 2008-ish, they never cashed the check and when I called back she said we do not charge anymore. The buildcard is more accurate than the buildsheet or fender tag, and can hold more data than the fender tag and buildsheet, although the...

    1958 Dodge

Very similar years, from the obvious, tail lights and # of headlights, to not so obvious, 57 dash vents turn, 58 are fixed. Part of the reason finding a 58 windshield was difficult, 58-59 conv/2&4 hardtop and 57 conv only. The 2 tone paint schemes were different, as noted already. Both years...

    News from Stellantis Historical-IBM cards

Up to and including 1967 you can send in proof of ownership and they send you a terrible copy of a copy of the microfiche IBM build card used to create the Buildsheet and fendertag. They used to include a letter that 'decodes' most of the items, including Region and Dealer, not sure if that...

    1958 Dodge

Silver over charcoal grey. Roof, trunk, and fins are silver, the rest is charcoal grey. There are paint dividers near the rear side windows, and at the top of the quarter behind the fins to the top tail light. Same as this car, same trim too.

    1958 Dodge

Definitely needs a sanding, how this happened we'll never know, it looks terrible. The goal is to strip it, and get it in primer, in 1 color! Fix the minimal body issues, then shortly after, do a homegrown diy paint job in as close to the original colors as possible. The end game is to get the...

All those pieces are plastic 'welded' together. I remember taking one apart with a soldering iron. Is that bezel specific to a tach or year? Iirc I have a garbage bezel here somewhere.

    First 1967 383 installed in a Barracuda

sean hasn't been around since 2018, and I never saw the VIN or buildcard, car has no fender tag, but if the VIN and rad/trunk #s are correct/original to the car, this would be the only '67 383 car with a Shipping Order Number prior to 3/1/67, (2/27/67). FYI: 2/27/67 was a Monday. BUT (big but)...

    First 1967 383 installed in a Barracuda

To clarify, your car was scheduled for 3/1 and shipped 3/10, not delivered 3/10. 1967 Barracuda was a first year a-body, unavailable until late in the model year, and first year for a big block. Imo, one could order whatever was on the menu, but on a first run of a new car, you're not getting...

    First 1967 383 installed in a Barracuda

So it was scheduled for 3/1 and shipped 3/10. If indeed all 67 383 cars were scheduled to begin production on 3/1 the only way to determine what car was the first built would be to look at all the IBM cards, which Chrysler has, but they're not letting anyone sift through all of them. On...

Looking for understand. Who is Paul? Wasn't under-neath installation common practice, wouldn't they start there? I don't recall the exact steps I took to remove my original engine, but I believe I couldn't pull it up and out with the exhaust manifolds on it. It doesn't seem practical to...
