    First 1967 383 installed in a Barracuda

How does one determine production date based on the VIN, or is this saying they know of specific VINs with specific build dates? And were these cars sold to the public? Not asking you specifically, just asking.

    First 1967 383 installed in a Barracuda

My understanding is Chrysler designed the 67 A-body with the intent to install the 383. They announced the new Barracuda would be available on Nov. 25th, convertible in Dec., and included the 383 in the optional engines. Part of the reason why I find it difficult to believe the idea of...

    First 1967 383 installed in a Barracuda

I'd be more interested in the Shipped Date on the IBM card, center top of card and last 4 columns below. My 67 383's Shipping Order Number begins with 531, but the Shipped Date was actually 5/26. Mine was an ordered car, same as yours, the motor was assembled on 5/23 and it was shipped Friday...

Searching for a windshield. Word out on the Forward Look forums/groups, which is where I got this:

I pulled the oil filter, it points up, and primed it, sent oil everywhere, so the pump is working. Then, pulled both valve covers and covered everything with MMM, then added a quart of Rislone which brought the oil level back to full. I have a few video clips I'm going to put together then post.

This car keeps surprising me. New bearings and parts under the old grease cap.

Buying a car without a title, but how do I get one?

The form for VT still requires the Seller info and signature, roughly 13 min mark.

I could not get the distributor to budge one bit, not up, not left, not right. Cleaned up all around it, sprayed it with penetrating stuff and let it sit overnight. Today, still wouldn't budge, pry bar, nothing. Put the plugs in it, battery, and after a few attempts it fired up! I brought up...

That's what I'm wondering. I'm betting the priming rod is different for a small block Mopar, which I think would work with this 325, and I have a bb one. Also, not sure if you need to turn the crank like a bb during priming. I'm not completely against starting it and checking for oil being...

The Coronet is ready to run. Surprised that the starter and the fuel pump work. I bought a small block mopar pump with an adapter, but didn't need it. I filed the points and got a weak spark, then noticed the negative coil wire was wasted. Replaced and it sparks like crazy. All the fluids are...

Seems there aren't many cars left, at least way less than last time. 70 Dart is close to being exposed, more so at the front, maybe. It's a rust free serious muscle car, built 440 and trans, I forget the rear, but built to take the 440. Iirc, all new interior, not installed. Don't see rust free...

My daughter wants this Valiant, but she loves the 58 Coronet. I don't really have room for the cars we have, and I think (know) the $ is better off being spent on the Coronet. But, still a great little car, so maybe? I'd have to store it outdoors somehow, and it deserves better. Finally got the...

    1958 Dodge

I took the most horrible video ever of the 57, tires, wood, junk all around, no room to turn around, couldn't touch car. It was so hot, my phone overheated and shut down the camera, and that's were taking pics or video ends. 345 DeSoto hemi. I couldn't see under the car, or even get close to...

Built 440. Car is solid, interior extremely nice. First time I've seen all 4 tires are flat.

Jumped in the 62 this morning, drove it back to where it and the 58 came from to pay a visit. Checked on some old friends that are still there.

whats everyone doing for car batteries these days??

Interstate since I gave up on whatever else I was using that I can't recall. I know I bought Delco exclusively years ago. I bought a cheap Advance Auto battery for another car and haven't had any issues. I do put them on a trickle charger when needed, left something on, after/during the winter...

One Lancer emblem down, one on the way. The shield and lancer are separate pieces, with the lancer being 16+ inches long. The knight faces forward on either side, so need one of each to be 'correct.' Not going for correct, but somehow managed to find both within this past week. There's a set on...

I'm not really digging the patchwork 'patina.' Thinking of spraying it flat black and getting the stainless back on, not a big $ paint job, just a sand a shoot. This car needs to move under it's own power, I wonder what I could do to replace that 2 barrel?

    1958 Dodge

Tank out, and it's full of some kind of brown liquid. Both J bolts broke, and the fuel line was rusted out, but no big deal. Oh yeah, there's barely a trunk floor to bolt the tank to, but not worried about it. Looks like the filler neck was soldered on, iirc my 62 was the same way, but the new...
