    Stripe or not

I like the idea of an F8 dark green stripe if you were going to paint it - to match the dark green top (which is close to black). If you go with tape stripes, I bet Phoenix Graphics could do the stock stripe in a dark green material - this would be a semi-gloss finish, which would make it more...

    Front Valance Question

Tom keeps lots of kits like that, but doesn't post them in the catalog. Just call him up and tell him what you need. He'll pull his reference kit and make you one up.

    Front Valance Question

Several years ago I worked with Tom Race at RT Specialties to make a kit for these valances for new hardware if you want it right an don't want to scrounge for the parts... It's all bolted on with various bolts and U-nuts.

6 Pak Hood Clearance 69 Dart?

you can also mill some off the ring of aluminum that fits onto the carb, but be careful because if it's too low it will interfere with moving stuff on top of the carb body.

6 Pak Hood Clearance 69 Dart?

I use a similar air cleaner (actually two of them) on my STR-12 dual quad. I found that there is a shorter filter that is made for a Ford Escort 4 cyl. and you can even get a K&N filter element for it. If you take your air filter to a good parts store that still has books, they will have...

68 to 76 2 door hardtop Darts all interchange plus Plymouth Scamp 2 doors for the back glass trim. All the four doors of the same years also interchange if you want to get rid of what you've got

    Windshield Wiper Delete Plate

When I built my race car, I just made an aluminum plate patterned on the piece that goes through the cowl from the bottom and made a gasket from bulk gasket material. Then I used stainless steel plugs to close the outside cowl holes.

    Gaskets for dual scoops (?)

oops -also use the holllow nuts on the inside of the hood with the black sticky sealer in the nut to seal the stud holes...

    Gaskets for dual scoops (?)

No gasket under scoop (make sure paint on scoop and hood are well cured before installation!) but there is a big rubber donut that goes in the holes in the hood with the thick side up! this keeps water from running onto your engine when you drive in the rain!

Why did you remove the bumper guards?

I think that especially the front bumper looks cleaner without them, but if it is the same as a 1970 front bumper, they have their own holes (back bumper uses bumper bracket holes), so unless you want to add some sort of plug, or are getting the bumper rechromed anyway (they can weld up the hole...

    1970 340 Dart 340 emblems

I'm looking to replace old pitted hood scoop emblems on my 340 Dart, but all the ones that I see advertised look too square. The originals are rounded in profile and the new repops have an almost flat face where the chorme shows. Does anybody make ones that look right???

    70-72 duster hood pin placement?

So except for my race car with a fiberglass hood, I don't have a Duster, but I have a couple of Darts with factory hood pins, so maybe you will find something similar. On the part of the fender that bolts to the radiator support is a big damned dimple that is where you drill for the correct...

    Which Dart grill looks better?

Most of the "70-71" grilles in the pictures are 71 only grilles and I like them best for sure. They have the black out verticle pieces where the 70 grilles have silver verticle pieces

    Cutting holes in my hood

Just remember that these seals aren't just for looks. The tall side goes up and keeps water streaming up your hood from dripping in on top of your engine! That is to say the slit where the sheet metal goes should be offset to one side. Rumor has it that the original idea was to have a plastic...
