who to buy rhs heads from

This is true, i was just going off an OOTB head, but ready to bolt-on with any currections that need to be made already done, don't know if Brian offers something like this, I myself was more then pleased with my stock RHS heads & there performance.

who to buy rhs heads from

Where did i mention that irons heads had "MORE" patential then aluminums, re-read my post carefully!! I have to agree though, you are hung up on eddys, only because "YOU" have them, doesn't mean anything really!

who to buy rhs heads from

I agree, people think just because its Aluminum its better., yeah right!! How fast did Brian go with his RHS heads that he prepped, I'm thinking it was 10.2-10.3 @ 129-130, & he made some changes for even better times, to me thats impressive for a mild iron head, because thats all they are...

who to buy rhs heads from

You can buy the RHS heads in stock form for less then 900.00 bucks & are ready to bolt on., So you'll need to shell out another 500.00 for the eddys & still drop another 200.00 or more for currections, Now your talking 700.00+ differance.

who to buy rhs heads from

I too recammend Brian, but when i purchased mine, i got them from Hughes engines, they were 875.00 & ready to bolt on but in "stock" form with there 1110 springs, As far as i'm concern, the RHSs are by far a great head with loads of potencial, Brian has proven that, i would buy these heads way...

Its alittle better then stock but not by much, its more or less a towing cam, stock cams are useally on a 114, they spread the power (torgue curve) throughout its RPM range but come in much earlier, this gives good vacuum & smooth idle, & better gas mileage, they work nice when RPM is limited &...

Sorry i've been away, computer took a dump, It never fails once you start changing things around like cams & ****, Its never cheap IF you want it right. The XE274H Kit is 441.99, that might be your best bet in the long run.

Well then its a VERY small cam, almost stock so that explains it, the Dur. @50 on that cam i'll bet is around 205-210 with an adv. of 250, it'll be dead at 4500

The prob with that is, the later 440 pistons sat way down in the hole, installing closed chambered heads IMO wouldn't do a hole lot, the quench will still not be good, installing a piston closer to 0 deck & the open chambers would work better. The engine is still going to run very well in that A...

Damn, the advertise dur. must be around 310 on that sucker, It sounds like one of those SS cams, crower was good about building those, it'll be too much i think, but i don't no anything about them, i'm sure it'll bleed off alot a cyl. pressure, that wouldn't be good.

...nice & streetable, slight sound at idle, but will still pull good up to 55-5600. Down the road if he decides on changing pistons, then he can drop in a more aggressive cam, adj. rockers, more stall & decent aluminum heads or do a nice bowl blend on the irons with a 30* backcut on the valves.

I've heard the voodoo cams run good, so ya thast one looks decent but not crazy, You can change springs with the heads on, either fill the cylinders with air, or you can do the old rope trick.

Yes it was, that was its 1st. cam, the 2nd. one i went solid, had comp custom grind me one from there 520/540 core.

I'll confess i've never degreed one in either , But when it comes to comp cams, as long as you use a good quality name brand timing set, they are very close dot too dot, I had a comp cams tech tell me they check all the cams once ground to make sure there within specs, they shouldn't be off...

That will be a good cam with nice torque & about the biggest i'd run on that low compression.

I haven't own the car for a good 5 yrs., the new owner painted it & did a few things on the inside, he just recently installed a pair off 660 center squirters & loves em. I ran V stacs on it, he installed the hilborn, I made a good 250 passes in that car after building it, ran a best of 10.87 @...

I would check them, even though there new, they are stock, most stock BB springs (non-HP) were around 90 on the seat & 200 open pressure, way too weak to handle what you want, your going to need a spring around 120-125 on the seat & 280-300 open pressure. 72Scamp, thanks for the props, How is...

Always install a fresh set of springs that are the right pressures for the cam you select, never run stock old springs on anything other then the stock old worn out cam lol. You won't need much spring pressure to run those 2 cams i mentioned, even with the larger summit piece, Comp will tell you...
