i learned how to do my own because i coulndt find an honest carb shop. the first guy i took my truck to turn the base gasket over and create a vaucme leak to pass smog...for $140. now i do my own and get better results, i pulled my BBD from the bone yard, rebuilt it, and it runs great and passes...

did you pull the exhaust manifold off when you swaped intakes? if not they may not be mated correctly, causing a vac leak. read this:http://slantsix.org/articles/manifold-install/types-mounting.htm on the carb, if the shaft bushings are in good shape, you should be able to get it to work...

i have seen slants in some pretty interesting cars like a 83 (i think it was) town and country wagon, a woodie.... or an 80 magum.

mark is all motor, i have seen under his hood. tis a thing of beauty:thumbup:

Great glad that worked out, you have to let me know how fast you run when you get it going. i just had to replace the head on mine and was thinking about that big valve head.

Bill, are you going to run that head i sent you form vegas last spring?
