    A/C compressor not cycling

Right on. That's cool I checked the fuse.... Well I didn't test the fuse but it wasn't visibly bad I'm pretty sure that it was marked a/c I noticed that there was one for the blower as well. But the diagram will help a lot thank you.

    A/C compressor not cycling

It doesn't come on. I wasn't sure where to start. I was thinking that the compressor clutch was bad but I don't know where to begin the diagnosis. Thanks Charlie I'll try to jumper that switch. I'm just going from memory but the dryer has 2 connectors correct? And your talking about jumping...

    A/C compressor not cycling

I have a 72 dart with a slant six and factory a/c the compressor isn't cycling. Last summer it was fine. I drove it a little in the winter so obviously I didn't use the a/c this summer no air. What would cause the compressor not to cycle? And how to test the parts that may cause this. If its...

    Hobart 135 - Good deal?

Having a tank retested is no big deal. There is a DOT number which if you can decode will tell you the life span of the tank then there is a hydrostat test date (which is the one your worried about). Depending on what type of tank you have it might have to be tested every 5-10 years. I...

[WANTED] A body lower control arms w/sway bar tabs

They don't list them on their website, I called them and asked if they were available separately. They are the same ones that they include in their sway bar setup so if you order a sway bar from them they are included. I bought them separately. I don't remember exactly how much they cost, I...

    Front suspension interchanges

One other thing to consider is what year sway bar setup (if any) your plan to use. I didn’t see sway bar tabs on your lca's. I wanted to use the 73 and up sway bar so I'm also changing my k member. It sounds like you already have the bar and lca's for the 72 which would be fine.

    340 K Member ??

This is very interesting. I had a 72 swinger 318 2 barrel auto trans. kh disks no sway bar it did have ps and power brakes and ac. So I'm thinking that it might be a torsion bar thing. It did have the washer. I remember it well because I asked my dad why it was there. He simply said because...

    k-member reinforcement

All the pieces that came with the firm feel kit are different thickness. The skid plate, the sliver and the teardrop shaped pieces are all about an 1/8 th thick the triangle with the curve inside is actually a little thinner (.10) the cut washers are thick 5 mm the strut rod washers are...

    k-member reinforcement

It's my understanding that that the washers your talking about are the cut ones that go on the lca side of the k member not on the nut side they are fairly thick. Sorry for the pictures not being oriented correctly but this is the only way I could get it to upload. .197 or 5 mm

    k-member reinforcement

Ok so the k-member is going to get hot tanked then blasted. I got what I thought was real clean and the welding started ok but there are places that I just couldn't get with a wire wheel and I can feel more oil and Crap inside. It wasn't a total waste at least I got the stiffing plates and sway...

    k-member reinforcement

Well last night I degreased it 1 more time. I went around all the seams with a torch I found some significant oil reserves near the front of the k member. Today I will wire wheel it and make an attempt at welding it up. I figure I'll start in the areas that I found the most oil and see how it...

    k-member reinforcement

I bought the k member last year. When I first got it home I degreased it and it's just been sitting outside I went out to take off the lca's and strut rods and noticed that there is still quite a bit of oil or grease around where the power steering gear goes. Maybe I'll just try to degrease it...

I'm just getting ready to buy the firm feel's reinforcement plates so I could weld up my k-member. This thread has got me thinking. What I have is a 72 dart with a slant 6 that I'm swapping in 73 k-member. I getting ready to replace the power steering box hoses and pump. I was wondering if a cob box out of an 89 diplomat would be a good choice? Are the hoses the same or will I have to use different ones. I looked at Napa and...

    drop spindle disk brake help

Thanks mcode After looking online at some pictures of the pin type that is what I should have used. To tell the truth I didn't know that there were 2 different kinds of calipers. I finally got everything I have to set flat so I don't think I'll have a problem.

    drop spindle disk brake help

I got them from Preformance On Line (POL they advertise in the back of the mopar magazines). The spindles are made by Magnum Force. I don't know who made the caliper brackets. I just found it strange that I had to grind so much out of the caliper brackets to get them to sit flat on the spindle

    drop spindle disk brake help

From what I understand there is only one place making drop spindles (without getting into the rack and pinion setups) which is why it made me wonder. I got everything to sit flat and straight. I just didn't hear of anyone else having the same issue. If its the wrong bracket then maybe the...

    drop spindle disk brake help

I was starting to think that I had the wrong caliper brackets. When I first put everything together I noticed that the caliper wasn't sitting flat on the bracket. I noticed it was because the bracket wasnt sitting flat on the spindle. When I called the place I got it from they passed me to 4...

    drop spindle disk brake help

Ok so should the caliper be in the front? The other thing that I was wondering is there going to be enough room for the ball joint? I thought that the caliper should be on the back side. Also which way is the correct way for the caliper bracket?

    drop spindle disk brake help

So I decided to assemble my front brakes to make sure that I would have the proper clearance. The caliper just doesn't look right to me. The bleeder looks almost parallel to the ground so I reassembled it using the other caliper bracket. It looks almost the same. Does it look like I have...
