Has anyone left the roofrail trim OFF? 69 Dart

Those are all after the door seal was removed. Here's one before that step. (passenger side, the previous ones were all driver side)

Has anyone left the roofrail trim OFF? 69 Dart

I'm not positive which parts you're referring to, but if it's what I think it is that stuff was a pain to work with getting OFF....so I'm not looking forward to getting it back ON. Here's some of the photos I took to help with the reinstall, if this helps... I took this off last summer so I...

Duster Twister ladder hood graphics placement

Does anyone have dimensions they can give me on their original Twister? I just need to know where the outer stripe edge starts from the edge of the hood (dims A), and then where exactly the ladder starts (dim B) or ends (dim C) on the vee bulge in the hood. Probably easier to measure centered...

    Rear frame rail suppliers?

I'm looking just for the front section on driver side. I actually need the floor section that attaches to it as well (see photo where mine is damaged, area needed is circled). I don't have to have the leaf spring mount included, but probably a plus to have it already attached. The open end on...

[Found!] Driver left side rear frame rail with leaf spring front bracket

Thanks. I found out I don't have to have the spring mount. But the floor piece that attaches to the frame rail would be helpful if possible to get intact with it.

Duster Twister ladder hood graphics placement

I just got a stencil kit. I see no dimensions anywhere. How do you know where to place the stripes in the correct accurate positions? What am I missing? Thanks

    Rear frame rail suppliers?

My frame shop needs a replacement driver side rear frame rail, just the front section really, but would like it with the front leaf spring mount/ bracket as well. I guess AMD only sells the full frame rails, no spring mount. I either need a donor car piece or another supplier maybe. US car tool?

Car finally off to body shop!

Thank you for the offer. I do have my vinyl top trim, most of it is in great shape. The one passenger corner piece has a corroded and worn away stud but the rest is pretty nice.

Car finally off to body shop!

All great suggestions everyone thank you, and some of which I've already anticipated. I know more rust is always found, not less, and I've pointed that out already (and I'm sure I didn't need to). He does both types of business, insurance/collision work on modern and then does the classic cars...

Car finally off to body shop!

I need to set up a my garage here...in my spare time... Yesterday was the day. My Scamp was transported to the body shop. Any suggestions/advice from others who've done this before me are appreciated. My body guy seems to care, I'm meeting him again tomorrow to go over all my concerns, what...

Removing vent and main glass from door

Seems this is a popular topic lately. PM me your email and I'll send you what I documented when I removed my door glass.

    trim removal

Like others have said, you need a special tool for the windshield trim clips. For pulling off trim like the drip edge, I found fuse pullers like these worked great. Made of plastic so won't scratch the stainless trim. You still have to use finesse so as not to dent or bend the trim.

Best fuel / ECS system to use?

I've been going round and round with this, and still not sure what's the best path to take. 67-70 system, non ECS, vented to atmosphere 71 - crazy ECS setup with four gas tank "vent lines" 72-up - simplest setup, single gas tank "vent line" Since my car is going to the body shop tomorrow, I...

    Gas Cap Question-71 Duster

I believe I can help you with this. I'll PM you. Because these windows are tricky I did a fairly extensive write up on my experience with it (and input from others who have done it before me). I've been meaning to see if FABO would be interested in adding this to their "How to" articles.

I wish it was closer craigslist finds

Lots of good parts on this car...for $1000 (probably negotiate lower) worth it to the right person. 74 Dodge Dart /6 runs good lot drives. Lots of rot. Interior is pretty nice fiberglass front fenders are good grille and taillights in good shape. Clean title. Not road worthy and would take new...

    current muscle car values

I screwed up back in the early 2000's. I had my original radiator, but somewhere before me the fan obviously collided with the radiator and gouged it good...yet it didn't leak. Anyhow, it ran hot so I had a new radiator put in it. It was just a mom and pop shop but they still just replaced with...

    Current Market ?

A guy just down the road from me had a 74 Scamp, new paint job but it wasn't to hide anything as you could tell it was really well kept. 318 with some mods but mostly factory...$13,000 was his asking price. Just needed a few interior pieces back in place (which were in the trunk). This 1967...

New classic car style bench seats?

That's it? I mean I figured the old springs just are what they are. My bench seat is in really nice shape and intact, I'd prefer to have bolsters added to it so you don't slide away on aggressive turns, and get it more comfortable and not bouncy when you hit the smallest bump in the road. I...

New classic car style bench seats?

Who makes some classic car looking bench seats that have modern built comfort? I would look into keeping a bench seat if the style procar 90 scat buckets existed in a bolstered bench seat version. TMI products makes a line of universal fit bolstered bench seats, but I don't care for the look and...

[WANTED] rocker trim and clips for 71 scamp

These are the clips (need 18 of the plastic, 2 of the metal). And the rockers are I believe stainless, 2" wide. (Photos courtesy of past FABO threads For sale/wanted.) I believe the 70-72 Duster trim pieces are 77" long, so the 71-72 Scamp trim is 80" long. Again from what I've gathered, 2" wide.

[WANTED] rocker trim and clips for 71 scamp

I believe 71-72 years are interchangeable. These are just like the Duster trim except 3" longer. (I'd accept Duster trim too maybe, if the right price, but obviously would prefer the longer Scamp ones.) Need both plastic clips and the two metal ones that go on the front. Thanks!

904 vs 727 auto floor linkage

Found this over on the Moparts tech. And NOW where that bracket makes a little more sense to me, although I'm still not sure how the linkage below the floor on the tranny works. I'll need to see if my shop manuals show this. I'll look again at it all tonight.
