    Flickering Lights

Went out to the garage this afternoon to take a look at the wires running from alternator to VR and other wires as I had problems with wires in forward light harness. Thought I might find something wrong with the engine wiring harness. Well this is what I found after unwrapping the wires: 1...

    Flickering Lights

Just got finished making repairs to wires going to the bulkhead connector in my 1965 Dart. What I thought would be an easy fix (!!) to flickering interior lights, and headlights that would dim at idle and brighten when rpms went up. When I pulled both connectors from the bulkhead three wires...

    Screw Holders

Will take trim rings off and get best picture I can. Guess you might call the part a nylon nut that fits in the hole that headlight trim ring screw goes into.

    Screw Holders

I took apart the headlight buckets on my 1965 Dart GT last week to clean up the grounding point and general cleaning. When I was installing the inner and outer trim rings a couple of the mounting screws would not tighten. The plastic insert that the screw screws into I guess is worn out. Can...

    Packard 56

Anyone have a picture of a packard 56 male connector that is used? The ones I have found either have a tab at the end on the barrel or no tab. Which one was used, or does it matter?

    Packard 56

Thanks to everyone for all the information on this type of connector. Who would have thought there is so much to learn about a simple connector/terminal. Will visit the sites mentioned and am sure that I will find what I need. Will be back if more help is needed.

Trying to repair some bad connectors in my wiring harness. Have some 14 gauge, 16 gauge and 18 gauge wire. Connectors are the Packard 56 ones and I this is my first time to replace this type of connector. Is there a different Packard 56 connector that is used with each wire gauge or will a...

    Headlight Buckets

Thanks for the input. It looks like a something was done to them, galvanized, but just wanted to check with members. Was just wondering if anyone had this problem before and what they did to their buckets.

    Headlight Buckets

Removed the headlight bulbs on my 1965 Dart GT and found one bucket to be rusted. Plan on treating the rust and repainting both of them. Looks like they are zinc coated. Is this correct? If so I will go ahead and use a zinc spray paint.

    Need a little help

Thanks to everyone for your help. I think that I can/have a good idea of how it goes. Just wish the manual had a drawing looking at the connectors in a horizontal position. I think that the drawing from Mattax cleared it up for me. If I rotate the drawing 180 degrees it matches the bulkhead...

    Need a little help

So, I am having to replace some of the bulkhead connectors on my 1965 Dart. Have pulled the top and bottom plug from the firewall and am a little confused. Looking at the wiring diagram either numbers or letters for the connectors. Is the plug with the numbers on the top or bottom? Is the...

    Roller Coaster Lights

Having problem with dash lights, dome light getting bright then dim when rpm is increased. Could this be a ground problem? Would like some suggestions as to what / where to look. Remember reading about this on the forum, but cannot find thread. Got out my voltmeter to do some checking, but I...

    Voltage Regulator

The electronic voltage regulator in my Dart has bit the dust and thought I would ask y'all where to buy one. Should I just go down to the parts house or is there a good place to buy online? Seems like I can remember reading about looking for a certain number (?) on the regulator! Anyhow...

    Has Anyone Used These?

You name it, I probably checked that site for washers for my Cragar SS wheels. Cragar part number is: 09005-4. This is a bag of 4 washers. Was unable to find these anywhere. However, anyone who might need washers for Cragar SS Series 08/61 small bolt pattern 5 X 4 I finally found some at...

    Has Anyone Used These?

From what I have learned from reading articles about Bellevile washers, they are the same as conical washers. The stock washers, I presume, were the Belleville (conical) shape. My bolt pattern is 5 x 4 and I have not been able to locate a Cragar washer that will fit. Lug nut is 7/16 x 20...

    Has Anyone Used These?

I have been looking for some replacement washers for my Cragar SS wheels. The ones that are on them now are needing to be changed out due to wear and tear over the years. Have not had any luck in finding new washers so I am thinking about using Belleville washers. Wondering if anyone has...

    Is Your Car Shining?

Sorry to say that I do not know much about the paint. Bought it back in 2003 form a guy who lived in South Carolina. He bought the car from a guy in Crosby, Texas. Believe that the car was repainted back around 2000. Car was originally Gold Poly. Anyhow I was going to buy some more wax and...
