RPM, you still need inspections with that plate or do you get antique/classic privileges?

The ones I saw modded were the ones with the Model T on it. Seems like the newer one doesnt get modded as much.

I have seen a lot of people mod that plate. Mostly putting a pic of their own car over the generic one on the plate. I cant think its legal but that was a dumb a$$ plate to begin with. I had that plate on my car until PA allowed the YOM plates to be used.

To the uneducated eye you might not realize that is clearly an amphicar in the middle of post #7. The truck is working on the same principle as the Stealth Bomber. If it has no true shape or color how do you tell other cops to be on the lookout for it?

Thanks Dan. What's amusing about that is the company listing two different cores was also charging more for the A/C core. My car is an A/C car. They would have gotten one over on me.

Shumacher Engine Swaps Schumacher Creative Services has shims they sell in a kit. There are different thicknesses in the kit. I had the same problem with my TTI's and conversion motor mounts. There's eight shims in the kit for $26. ...or you can make your own if you have the steel/aluminum...

I get real close to rubbing the front fender when the suspension is compressed and turning. Make sure you check compressed clearances. That's where I think you may have problems. My car sits a little low in the front but I have stiffer torsion bars so I don't have as much bounce. Can't wait to...

The rear wasn't the concern. My tires are almost same width and 2 1/2" taller. It's the fronts I think will be questionable. I would suggest ordering two in that size for the back. Try them on the front to check everything out before you order the other two.

Sheesh. That's about an inch wider than what I'm running on mine and I know I'm close to rubbing. That tire is 1 1/2" shorter than mine but I still think that's gonna be close. Did you bend the wire to mimic the tire dimensions and check clearance at full steering travel?

Yep. I stand corrected. I have my gauge cluster sitting on the workbench. I now see there is no way a stuck cable would hold the speedo at a certain speed. Now I can't figure out how the speedo works since there doesn't seem to be any mechanical coupling between the cable and speedo needle.

Could be the speedo cable bound up or broken in the sheath. Disconnect it from the back of the speedo and check it first. Might save you from pulling the instrument cluster if you don't need to.
