    73 Dart Swinger Resto-mod

Pretty much exactly my clearances as well. One of my favorite styles of wheel, and what I may very well end up with in an 18. The spacer was what I was thinking also, but all that is going to wait till I get the Cherokee disc rear end under it so spacing is going to change anyway.

    73 Dart Swinger Resto-mod

Well, one thing I can tell you is a 235 isn't going to fit with a 4.5 backspace because it hits the springs. You might get away with 235's with a 3 3/4 or 4 inch backspace. My rims are 4.5 and the biggest tire I can get on it without hitting the springs is about 225. My 73 is a daily driver so...

    73 Dart Swinger Resto-mod

Good call on both counts. The new radiator is bigger, and cooler lines are pretty important if it doesn't have any other provision for cooling it. Lots of guys (including myself) have swapped out mechanical fans for electrics, and some of those went back to mechanical with a clutch and a shroud...

    1971 Dodge Demon "Pazuzu" Build

Oh yea, that's right it was. One of my friends and I went to it when it first came out in a drive in theater on mototcycles, and my friend wanted to sleep on my sofa instead of riding the rest of the way home by himself. :D

    Project`67 Dart GT 340 A500

It can be done later easily, so big deal there. I used brass fittings and compression unions to plumb off the governor port and ran a steel cooler line up the back of the motor to a T then the two pressure switches attached to that and a bracket to bolt it to the back of the intake. The stuff...

    Project`67 Dart GT 340 A500

You are going to fall in love with that A500 in a hurry. I did this swap awhile back in my Dart, but I used the governor port to control pressure switches for OD and lockup. If I leave everything in "Auto" mode it shifts up and down through all 5 speed completely automatic with OD coming in at...

    BBMopar's 73 Dart Swinger

You'd be driving it a lot sooner and a lot cheaper though, and only actually get to drive it once in awhile at races. How hard could it be to slap a driver drivetrain in it and some lights while you work and spend on race parts worth doing it with?

    Young Gun's 72 Swinger

True enough, but why go through that if someone else has already done the trial and error? That was my point.

    Young Gun's 72 Swinger

In my mind the fact that they showed where to make the mount points so nothing got in the way or bound up when opened or closed was the most important info they showed. Can't make many mistakes on those skinny little arms.

    Young Gun's 72 Swinger

There is a writeup around this site somewhere about how to replace the torsion spring with gas struts.

72 Dart Restoration continued after 9 years

They are out there if you watch and are ready when it happens. Picked this one up for less than the cost of a trans rebuild (AND the trans had just been rebuilt) :D It had a flat cam, but that wasn't too bad to fix. (30 over 318 and a 904 and factory discs) All factory stock except for the HEI...

    Meet my new 74 Duster

I didn't realize Canada had rust issue's that bad, but some people have no idea it snows in AZ either. :D Is it the weather that does it up there, or what they do to the roads during it?

    Meet my new 74 Duster

NICE Snake. I sometimes wish I could just take a car in and have someone else do the dirty work, but then again it's hard to trust anyone to do a decent job of anything these days. There is an upside though, since I know every nut and bolt personally when it's done.:D This is the engine I just...

    Got An Opinion?

I think once in awhile I might do one on each side and Y them together in the trunk. No more waiting for a pump with the hose on the side you need it, and it would certainly be different.

    Hood insulation question......

Fuzzy side down is how most OEM's do it, but a lot of people put it on the other way because it looks better. If your requires adhesive THEN you def want the fuzzy side down. If it's clips only, then pick what you like best.
