    Lower Radiator Hose Spring

I make my own out of heavy gauge hot dipped galvanized wire. I don't know if it's necessary or not (I've read more than I care two on both sides of the argument), but anyone will be hard pressed to convince me that it needs to come out. Takes a few minutes to twist one up and stuff it in...

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

Thanks! Unfortunately with the Duster, all we know is that it's a real deal 360 car w/ #'s engine. Transmission #'s say it came from behind a 1967 318. No Fender Tag & No Buildsheet. The Duster has been ran hard and put away wet most of it's life, but it's rust free and daily driver...

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

On some vehicles, yes. On this particular car, a 1975 Duster 360, Factory A/C car, no. On my 74 Ramcharger SE, factory 440 A/C truck, no.

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

Yes, when I first opened the box I was like "uh oh", but extended it is 36" and I have enough to re-do one of the ones in the Ramcharger left over.

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

There's actually two, one guy used Vinyl Vehicle Wrap material (I Didn't have any handy and it's somewhat expensive unless you have some laying around, depending on the brand it may or may not be heat shrinkable too) to wrap around the original parts and the other guy used ShopVac hose. The...

Found a Cheap/Affordable Solution to replacing the Defrost Duct (s)

I spent most of Saturday morning trying to find a 2.5" ID hose to replace the defrost Duct's in my wife's 75 Duster (I just went thru this with my 74 Ramcharger and wasn't happy with the flex duct I had purchased from McMaster-Carr for that. I found lots of threads here and on other mopar...

dakota 5.9 starter swap to 72 duster

This is good info, because if you grab the entire harness (cable's that go from the Starter to the Battery & to the starter relay) it'll have a nice molded connection on the starter side that will address the clearance issue that people have trying to mount conventional lug type connections on...

Headlight Switch in 75 Duster ( Standard DS357) Fitment issue

That's the Ticket! This is the Standard Motor Products DS165 that I just pulled out of my 74 Ramcharger. Napa part Number HL6571SB also appears to be correct and I'm going to get one of those to put back into the Ramcharger.

Headlight Switch in 75 Duster ( Standard DS357) Fitment issue

I was just doing some cross referencing and realize that this is the same switch for a 74 Dodge Ramcharger (which I have in my garage and has a brand new one in it) so I'm going to go pull it and see if it works better.

Headlight Switch in 75 Duster ( Standard DS357) Fitment issue

Before putting the Cluster back in a 75 Duster 360, I decided to replace the headlamp switch as the OE unit had a failed potentiometer. RockAuto showed Standard Motor Products DS357 was the replacement. it’s slightly longer, but the fitment issue is that with the plunger installed , the knob...

How to identify which Wiper Motor (2 speed or 3 speed) Should be on 75 Duster

That's a great question that made me look up the windshield washer stuff in the FSM. There is washer fluid tank in the engine bay. And if I'm looking at it correctly, being that the car has Cruise Control, I don't see how the tank would mount over the passenger side inner fender w/o...

How to identify which Wiper Motor (2 speed or 3 speed) Should be on 75 Duster

I can tell you with absolute certainty that the 2 speed wiper switch in my 74 Ramcharger is depressed to pump windshield washer fluid.

neither. Hence why I’m on the investigative path.

How to identify which Wiper Motor (2 speed or 3 speed) Should be on 75 Duster

Do the 2 speed switches have the same function that you push them for the windshield washer pump to spray? (I don't know as my B-Body has an independent button to spray the washer pump)

How to identify which Wiper Motor (2 speed or 3 speed) Should be on 75 Duster

...owner, and that he was a mopar hoarder. If something broke, he would've just grabbed something off a car in the field that would at minimum *kinda* bolt up and *sort of* work as long as it didn't cost any money. I get what you said about the harness on the firewall side. I think I've got a...

How to identify which Wiper Motor (2 speed or 3 speed) Should be on 75 Duster

    The Switch is 3488764 (Most Definitely a 3 Speed Wiper Switch, google results indicate 1972-74 E-Body & 72-76 A-Body 3 Speed Wiper/Washer Switch) Wiper Motor is 3799083 ( google results indicate its a 72-76 A-Body part number) and the Linkage's are 3431688 & 3431684, which I don't think are...

How to identify which Wiper Motor (2 speed or 3 speed) Should be on 75 Duster

I'm working on my wife's 75 Duster 360. I've always noticed that the wiper switch is a 3 speed switch, and the windshield wiper motor (has a 2 speed motor mounted to car) only has on/off, irregardless of what speed the switch is in. How can I go about identifying if the car has the wrong...

    Denso Starter Repair (terminal broke)

$2.00 for the stud at my local Starter & Alternator repair shop (I guess I should give a shout-out to CC Battery) and I'll be back in business. The Contact & Plunger Kit that I had did not have the trigger terminal post included with it.

    Denso Starter Repair (terminal broke)

While taking the starter off to replace batter cables, the trigger wire terminal broke clean off from the starter solenoid. I’m well aware (and have a plunger & contact kit in my toolbox) that these starters are easily rebuildable. But should I junk this starter which was otherwise working...

I’m sure you’ve heard of MrHeaterBox (guy out of Canada that restores HVAC boxes, steering columns, and sells HVAC rebuild kits. The guy who runs that company recently posted on Facebook the he uses the Molex .093’s when rebuilding the turn signal wiring connections. I’ll update this thread...

Sources for Chrysler type wire terminals

So Mouser Electronics really came thru and had my terminals in under 36 hours! and I do believe that I found perfectly suitable replacements for rebuilding the ignition wiring harness terminals. They appear to be exactly the same as the OEM terminals. Molex Part numbers are: 18-12-1602 for...

Sources for Chrysler type wire terminals

Here's something of "hopefully" useful evidence I provide. On the Left in this photo is one of the OEM Ignition Switch Barrel Terminals removed from the housing. I used my crappy micrometer and from the bottom of the retaining clip to the tip of the barrel (which is the area for contact) is...

Sources for Chrysler type wire terminals

I just wanted to update this thread on my quest to find the Pin & Socket terminals that are used in the Turn Signal Wiring & Ignition Switch wiring. I suspect that the smaller size is what's commonly referred to as the Molex .093 and the Larger Size is the Molex HCS-125 I ordered a bunch of...

    Best source for automotive wire

when doing any automotive wiring, whether it's a repair or modification, I've been using Marine Grade wiring exclusively now.
